Will I ever find love again now that I cant walk?
Last year i was involved in an accident that left me paralysed from the chest down i still have use of my arms but limited hand functions. At first i just didnt want to be alive because its not the life i wanted to lead but then i met a girl who was a relative of a fellow patient. We hit it off right from the start and we fell in love. This made me realise that maybe life wasnt so bad and i accepted it. I had to spend a year in hospital and through this time we planned our life for when i got home and to be honest i cant remember ever being happier even before my accident. But then lightening struck me again in the same year! Two days before i was due out of hospital my girlfriend told me that her feelings had changed she said she loved me but wasnt in love with me anymore! I’ve been out now for 6 months and she is in love with someone else and i just feel empty inside! And just to make my year i recently found out i cant have kids! It just seems nothing is getting better and i am lost

I know it’s easier said than done-but do not give up -remember everything happens for a reason-maybe you are supposed to meet somone different. Being paralazyed does not mean that there is no one for you. People alawyas show up in your life when you least expect it-in re: to the kids maybe god wants you to adopt a child that has no one. Just remember to always smile and try to enjoy your life that you got to keep =)
After all that it sounds like you need to take some me time for a little while. Then after you think you can get back in to the dating scene then do it but right now you need to focus on you. Make a plan for your daitng life but leave marriage out of it until you know their the one. Right now like i said you need to focus on you and live life to the fullest. You mayt not ecver get married but that dosen’t say that you’ll be happy. Because you can be happy without a mate. Single life is not that bad try it out.
It must be tough when your expectations of how you thought your life would turn out have suddenly fallen off a cliff. All you can do is accept the way things are now, then try to solve your practical problems and love-life/ family-life/ friendship problems in whatever ways you can. Now that we have the Internet, you’ve got access to information, advice and support from other people all over the place on any topic you care to mention.
For example, you say you can’t have children. However, you may meet someone who already has children or you could adopt.
When it comes to meeting someone, there are friendship/dating sites on the net. You may think ‘Should I tell the person about my paralysis at the outset or later?’. Why not try both approaches and see which one works best.
Try to stay positive. If something can be interpreted optimistically or pessimistically, just choose to interpret it optimistically.
Have a read of this article. It has a lot of good advice on what a woman likes in a man.
Are you okay financially? Try asking on here if anyone else has been through the accident compensation process and can give you good advice on getting the most out of it. Read as many articles as possible.
Look for other ways of earning money. Did you know you can sell services as well as goods on eBay. If there’s anything at all that people with less time or skill or knowledge might pay you to do, it could form the basis of an online business. It could be somethng like carrying out web searches and research and writing reports, or creative writing, photo-editing, graphic-design, web-site design/maintenance. If you don’t know how to do something, the internet almost always has tutorials.
If the problem with your hand makes this too difficult, work with a friend as a partner, with you saying what you want to achieve. The secret of success is teamwork.
