How long did it take for you to get over your ex?
Well, i haven’t seen him for almost a month now, and i just cant stop thinking about him. He was my first love, and was a total jerk, that i really don’t like, but for some reason cant stop thinking about him. Why is that? Im new to this love game, but i didn’t know it would be this hard. How long did it take you to get over your ex?

There really is not set time. It depends on lots of things. The individual, the circumstances, the details of the relationship & it demise, etc…
I don’t know how old you are or how long you two dated. But usually the longer you are together, it seems to have more of a total impact on your life. A month after breaking up, yeah, you will still constantly think of them if you really did have a love for them. Possibly for 3, 6, 9 months….
The person (my best friend) I’ve fallen for has been without his ex for nearing 2yrs now. They dated nearly 5years. But she was soo horrible to him, and did things to him that have, to date, permanently altered his views of women (slightly) and relationships. 2 YEARS. And he’s still not 100% over those things.Over, her yes, but the things she did, no.
And you said this guy was a jerk to you. So, you might have those things to deal with and get over along with him as a person.
Usually, it seems a lot of people find it easiest to get over someone by finding someone new. This, I don’t agree with totally. But that’s just me. I know how much it hurts. Believe me.

Generally, One month for each year you were together… Or if your a teenager 10-minutes till the next distraction showed up…
Thats a question that will vary with each person, But i takes me a few months to get that ex out of my system.
