How useful have you found the Bible to be in your life?
I have one of my wife’s old bible from Childhood. I am reading all the great scriptures of encouragement. In the front it has a place for marriage and death records. In the back in has maps of the time of Christ. Reading in the book I find that I can be saved by praying to God and asking to be saved. I find the bible very useful and interesting. How have you used the bible to enrich your life?

I agree the bible has helped me alot in my life…during hard times i Always read the bible and think that when no one listens …God is always there and listens to each and everyone of us.
A decent doorstop.
Holds my paperwork down well enough, I guess.
It makes a pretty good paper wight, but that’s about it
It was very useful in discovering that Christianity is complete hogwash.
It fixed my table wobble
um lets see, 102% lol
its great!!!!!!!!
all the answers are in the book
some are just too blind to find them.
The best parts of the bible teach basically the same tenets of peaceful living and inner peace that buddhism and other contemplative religions teach. The worst parts teach genocide and intellectual arrogance.
There are nice passages in the Bible, but there are nice passages in a Stephen King book, too.
Its great when I want to mentally torture myself with nightmares.
The bible is a guidebook from GOD.I try to read mine daily, because when I do I feel much better and more able to deal with the things going on in my life.It is also a source of great comfort.Read palm 91.GOD-bless
Only hypoallergenic versions are useful…
you have to be joking??
which one!? there are so many bible’s, different versions, yet I was wondering, maybe I should take Bible classes at a College, after all the fundamental knowledge of the bible comes from the Roman Latin and the Orthodox church! we will see by next semester!
Very useful. It is holding up the air conditioner on the outside window sill.
It’s bee extremely helpful. Convicting at times. Comforting at others. The Atheists who are giving the sarcastic answers only prove the validity of the Bible. Why would you have so much hatred for a Book you think isn’t true? Or is it that this particular Book jacks your hide?
I use it to verify arguments against religion.
"The Atheists who are giving the sarcastic answers only prove the validity of the Bible. Why would you have so much hatred for a Book you think isn’t true?"
Fool. How would you feel if you had to live in a society which was dominated by the Quran?
It shows me the true way to live, the way which will please God and also benefit others since it teaches us to love one another etc.
Also when I feel down or just need encouragement it makes me feel so much better and reminds me how I should be! I take it with pretty much everywhere.
Erm in any way possible, ok i’m not innocent i know i sin because i’m human (not an alien lol) but like the commandments have really helped. It’s showed me that there’s always a wrong and right and to be on the right path of life you have to pick the right option.
It’s true…God does have a purpose for everyone (even if it takes some time to find out what that is) but if you don’t follow the right path then it’s hard to go back and change things.
I find the bible interesting aswell mostly the reason why i chose Religious Studies for A-Level (well and also because of my first religion teacher-she passed away last friday now i feel that i should follow in her footsteps-she was a great teacher!).
Good luck with everything, have a great day =)
It served the purpose of leaving me completely confounded.
The Bible enriched my life by prompting me to research other spiritual paths and find the right one for me – something that made more sense to me personally.
its truly amazing! It speaks about so many different situations, if you read and understand it right, about issues going on in this world and everyday life.
one thing tho, can you tell me where it says if you pray to Jesus and ask him to save you, that you will be saved? aka asking/accepting Jesus in your heart?
I cant find that verse….
