disfigured face, will i ever find love again?

six years ago i was in a near fatal car crash that left extensive nerve damage in the left side of my face that causes drooping as well as scar tissue and my speech is also somewhat slurred due to the nerve damage. I am a nice guy, i love joking around and i work on a college campus as a maintainence worker. My dating life has been h3ll since that accident
I’m still the same guy but when going out in public i get horrified looks from people and when i tried dating the woman pretended she had to tend to her sick mom and i never heard from her again
I just wanna lock myself away in my apt and never leave the house again. why are people so shallow
