If I stopped loving once, how can I ever love again?
5 and a half years ago, I fell madly in love with a woman. I was so sure that she was everything to me. After 5 years, I don’t feel anything anymore. I’m really confused as to what to do now! If I leave her, how can I ever trust myself to love again? Won’t I just end up, after a few years, hurting someone else? So maybe I should stay with her, because the same would happen if I chose someone else? I’m so confused!
The problem is, I’m not even sure if I want to continue with her, so how can I put forth an honest effort to try to get things going? I’m just so tired of it all.. Sometimes I just wish I could meet someone new, but then again, wouldn’t it just be the same again? Oh, and as far as I know, there aren’t any marriage counselors in my country.

Time does wash away that first blush of lust and frantically devoted love. That’s sort of natural. And it can leave you feeling like there’s nothing left. But sometimes if you try, and stop wishing for the first-blush-rush, you can find a deep and meaningful relationship.
Talk to your partner, and tell her that you’re having these doubts/feelings. Think about going to a relationship counselor, and putting some effort into rekindling the spark for you.
If, after you’ve given it an honest hard try, there’s nothing left… that’s another story. But every relationship needs a good solid foundation of hard work, and now’s the time to put some in.
That’s easy. Without getting into it see a marriage counselor…she saved our marriage. You get into a rut and everything seems mundane and the pressures of life take a toll. Professional help made a difference. I was EXACTLY like you and once we saw a counsel er everything changed. Now I feel the same way as I did when we first met.
