More thoughts on a Preparation for Godly Marriage?
This is all God, he has made it c lear to me , I have not been focusing on dating at all, I went to work the other day, and I found a wedding invitataion in my desk drawer out of the blue. The girls name happen to be the same as mine, and there was a Scripture from thr book of Ruth. My coworker joked nand said, I should save it becasue it probabaly was a sign from the Lord. The next morning I woke up at 4 am for my morning prayer, and reading of my bible, and I turned right to that scripture. I almost fell off my couch!! I guess that would have been ok as long as I landed on my knees. I think that was the holy Spirit…I told God years ago I would wit on him, and I do not want to get married unles it is ABSOLUTELY THE LORDS WILL…

You would think you should start meeting people and getting ready. Have faith, and don’t be afraid to fall in love. God’s waiting for you both at the bottom. You’re joining together as one, working as one, creating as one a life, and a future that chances are, might hold a family. It’s perfectly okay to be married, as it is perfectly okay to be single. God’s timing is perfect, and His will is also.
It sounds to me you are ready. Is there somebody that you feel could be the one for you?
The Lord will let you do whatever you want to. It is better to marry than to burn…that’s what the Lord said. But it is better not to wed, because then your desires are for pleasing the Lord and on what He wants for you. When you get married…things change…while still serving the Lord, you have to be concerned about your spouse…where before…you didn’t have that problem. Guard yourself because the enemy will set things in your path to buffet you. It’s different if you wanted to get married and was praying for God to send you the one that He has for you. He will give us the desires of our hearts.
The lord wants you to be married for sure! In my religion LDS we can be married for eternity and have our children sealed to us. Its time to start looking for Mr. right
When I pray for something that is a major decision such as marriage, or right now a change in my husbands career, I always ask the Lord for confirmation in three distinct and separate ways. If it is His will for my life to go forward and do the thing I have asked, He always gives me the confirmation. But the other half of the prayer is if it is not His will, then I ask Him to close every door that may lead to this new life.
You are talking about the whither thou goest I will go from Ruth 1, right? Ruth is talking to her mother-in-law. She pledges to follow her mother-in-law with those words. Ruth is actually a widow at the time.
Ruth 1:14-16 14 Then they lifted up their voices and wept again; and Orpah kissed her mother-in-law, but Ruth clung to her. 15 And she said, "Look, your sister-in-law has gone back to her people and to her gods; return after your sister-in-law." 16 But Ruth said: "Entreat me not to leave you, Or to turn back from following after you; For wherever you go, I will go; And wherever you lodge, I will lodge; Your people shall be my people, And your God, my God.
That said, it is wonderful that you are seeking the Lord’s will on when and if you should be married. Continue to pray and study His word. God bless.
If you have been praying for the right husband and have told God what you wanted in a husband then sit back and wait. He will give the desires of your heart. I know this because he give me my husband and let me know that he was the one! At 12 yrs of age, I pray and told the Lord what I want in a husband then at the age of 20 I was in the military, stationed at Ft. Jackson, SC I was standing in front of the building looking out and I heard a voice behind me saying "there is your husband", I turn to see who was speaking no one was there, I look out and the blueprint I described to God was walking up the side walk, we have been married now for 21 years. Thank you JESUS! GOD IS GOOD, ALL THE TIME; TO THOSE WHO DILIGENTLY SEEK HIM.
Holy crap! So, how disillusioned are you going to be after you’ve spent your whole life believing this fairytale, then you die to realize nothing. If I had a prayer, it would be that you find enlightened freedom and liberation from this cult brainwashing and enjoy the gifts that a natural life has to offer.
Seriously, it’s beyond normal, having crossed well over to the realm of bizarre. You’ve not asked a question, but rather seem to be making some religious statement. I need some of those shrooms!
