What’s the point of saving a marriage if the spark is already long gone?
Why do some couples try so hard to stay together just for the sake of staying together when there is no longer any passion between them? Why do they subject themselves to such misery? What’s the point of saving any marriages that are fast going down hill?

BECAUSE YOU VOWED TO.
THAT’S "WHAT THE POINT IS".
if you don’t see the point in "trying so hard to stay together" don’t waste a man’s time with marriage.
That’s why women are not worth marrying.
And no man should ever get married.
Because women are LAZY and they don’t even see the point in saving a sinking marriage. Just because the "spark" is gone.
You wanna avoid that misery????????
No problem –>>>>> ANSWER: NEVER GET MARRIED.
In a marriage both parties are the keeper of the flame and also responsible to keep that flame lit
Well, probably because they made a few vows and realize marriage has its rough spots (infidelity and abuse are the exceptions)….a good sign of this is if they are "fast going down hill". If you want something that is disposable…don’t get married.
they want to try and see if they can work through it.
sometimes couples just go through rough patches, some can get through them and others can’t. but if you want that spark back between you two you can’t give up on each other
Do you still love her? Is the spark gone from both of you or just you?
Do you want to work it out? You really need to say more!
Just because the lust and the passion that you shared for each other when you first got together has changed it does not mean you don;t love one another.
I think in a relationship there a different points. When you first get together you get the butterflies etc and then after years of being with eachother you become comfortable and relaxed around each other and you want more. You talk about marriage and planning weddings etc and the flame and passion is back, you move on and plan children and the flame and passion is there.
I don’t necessarily think the passion dies I think you become more passionate about different things with eachother as you get older. Where as once you were all about sex and having fun; when you grow up you get married and start a family and are very passionate about those things and they are just so satisfying.
You always have a spark, the reason for the spark changes as you mature.
i always wonder the same thing.
If the passion is gone and you know you’ve given it your all then you move on, you have learned all you need from that relationship …time to travel a new road and learn more….
Just a comment for "The Man" who commented here and has on his status "Top Contributor" Hmmmm, well im my opinion you should get off your ass and do something with your day other than answering peoples questions with bullshit answers to questions you obviously know jack about..that was a pathetic answer…no wonder your not married. I think you need serious help, you have obviously been burned more than once, stop blaming other people for your own insecurities.
To save your marriage, both of you has to undergo some changes in your marriage point of view. Effort, patience, and understanding are necessary to make a marriage work. There are so many ways to fix your marriage.
The key to save your marriage is communication in both parties. It takes two to make it work and you can not do it alone.
