So my friend goes to an Apostolic Pentecostal church, how do I bring him back to the Catholic Church?
He started going to a Apostolic Pentecostal church a couple years ago and its brainwashed him. How do I bring him back to the Catholic Church? How do I get him out of that brainwashing church?
CATHOLICS ANSWER ONLY, PLEASE.
How do you get someone to come to the church after being this?
Apostolic Pentecostalism; The Cult of Christianity
Not all religions are cults but when emotional manipulation is used to recruit members it definitely starts to fall into that category. You can read here the methods the Apostolic Pentecostal use to build their cult empires.
http://www.associatedcontent.comarticle/221631/apostolic_pentecostalism_the_cult_of.html

He is better wherever he wants to be.
Leave him alone.
Think positively. At least he didn’t embrace Islam.
have you ever heard that one about a pot calling a kettle black?
Out of one brainwashing cult and back into another? Hmmm… let me think….
Oh joy. Get him back to the church of the little molestors. Nice.
Mind your own friggin business.
WHAT DO YOU MEAN BRAIN WASH JUST BECAUSE HE DOESN’T BELIEVE IN WHAT YOU DO.CONFESSING TO A MAN TO FORGIVE AND BLESS YOU CAUSED YOU SINNED.
dude. they’re both brain washing churches. if you want to ask this question with any validity, leave the catholic church and then get him to leave his church
EDIT: right. emotional manipulation. the catholic church really doesn’t play off the fear of hell? really?
Oh, so out of the kettle into the fire?
Can you not see that whilst his church is brainwashing him, your church is doing the same to you. Both are taking over your lives and are evil. These are man made gods and to give your life in this way is so wasteful. Why don’t you start enjoying life like normal people?
What difference does it make? It’s all christianity.
Oh, BTW, by saying you only want catholics to answer, you’re going to get a lot of non-catholics answering you, just because we like to piss you off.
<= theist, former Christian
Only he can bring himself back to the RCC, not you, not anyone. Just him.
Look, I <<<TOTALLY>>> agree with you. Any Pentecostal or Fundamentalist or charismatic kind of church is a brainwashing kind of church, pure and simple. I totally understand why you’d want to help your friend to see through all the bullshiit that this church has been feeding him. However, if you nag him, he will not listen. He’s bound & determined he’s on the right path, and that the RCC is wrong, wrong, wrong.
Wanna know how to attract someone to church? Live the life. But don’t just live the life by merely going through the motions – going to Mass, praying, tithing, volunteering, etc. It starts inside. If you cultivate your spirituality, and you manifest it by good works, people around you will notice. There will be an inner peace, some kind of warmth and kindness from you, and they will notice. Your friend may ask you about it, and that’s when you tell him that you’re trying to become closer to God. What you do is share your own experience WITHOUT ALTERIOR MOTIVES. He will be able to smell a snow job, so BE CAREFUL and BE REAL.
When I went back to Mass (many moons ago!), after a while, folks around me started going as well. My sister, my b/f at the time, my mom, they all started going to Mass again, and there was not one bit of coaxing from me. I just lived as the most sincere Catholic Christian as I possibly could, not even thinking that others will follow suit. Voila, they did.
Both religions teach that "treat others as you want to be treated" really means "take away the civil rights of law-abiding, taxpaying, gay Americans." So he might as well come back to your church and continue to be indoctrinated into the anti-gay lifestyle there. It has more pretty stained glass and he gets wine and bread.
Chances are your friend was Catholic by default, and not by practice. Real Catholics don’t fall for man-made religions. The best thing is to just be a friend, plant seeds, invite them to Mass that they probably have not been to since grade 8.
So would you feel the same way if a so called friend didn’t like the choices you made in your life that made you happy and tried to change them to suit his life because he wasn’t happy about your choice?
You can be totally honest with him and if your friend says "no" that he is not returning to your faith then leave it, as to continue to disregard your friends choices in his life is not being a true friend.
Never underestimate the power of prayer.
Pray to your Blessed Mother Mary using the most powerful weapon that men have: the Holy Rosary.
There is what is called a 54 day Rosary novena in which you make three novenas in petition and three novenas in thanksgiving. (a Rosary novena being that you recite five decades of the Rosary for 9 days–3 x 9 = 27–2 x 27 = 54). Pray with faith and confidence to your Blessed Mother Mary, she loves this individual and wants to see him return to the true faith moreso than you do. Be strong and don’t give up praying for this person. Even if he fails to cooperate with God’s grace, your prayers are never wasted.
I think it is also vitally important for you to understand that the true Catholic faith is found in fewer and fewer places these days. Many Catholics are being robbed of what the Church truly teaches. Please visit the websites below.
Sorry, I’m not Catholic, but I just gotta tellya, your friend has made a choice you should respect. You are at opposite ends of the religious spectrum but that alone doesnt make either of you wrong as long as your search for truth is satisfied and your both have God in your lives to the degree you want. I dont recommend that you go with him to Church though. The shock of seeing someone actually worshipping God would be too much for a very quiet, shhhhh, quiet ………Catholic.
How about you butt out?
You cannot bring him back yourself. Conversions come from God alone. The best thing you can do for him is pray for him. Everytime you receive the Blessed Sacrament offer it up for him. And most importantly do as St. Francis says, "Preach the Gospel to the world and if necessary use words." Live by example.
There are other sneaky things you could do to at least ward off the devil. Go to his house and bury a miraculous medal in his yard without him knowing, or sprinkle holy water or put a blessed prayer card in a drawer he doesn’t open. Little things like that could bring him some protection at least and hopefully help to clear his mind.
If you think he might just read some material you give him, there are a ton of essays and brochures and pamphlets and books floating around. My favorite is "The Question Box" by Fr. Conway. It was printed at the beginning of the 20th century and is responsible for the conversions of tens of thousands of Protestants to the Catholic faith. It is a compilation of answers to all the questions protestants put forward to Fr. Conway.
And allcreations is correct about the church today. Please do visit the links she posted as well as the ones I have supplied below.
An Apostolic Pentecostal church is not a brainwash church. It is simply is digging deeper into the Bible and following everything God says.
For example:
Most church’s know that Corinthians 11 simply states that a woman should have uncut or shorn hair, but they simply ignore it. Apostolics follow everything God and the Bible says. It is just a deeper way of fully committing yourself to God. When you walk through the mall, people know your holy.. Trust me, I know from experience.
My advice.. no one religion is right for everyone, but make sure that the one your in is not because of your family, friends, etc. Make sure it is the one you choose for yourself.
Maybe you should visit your friends Apostolic church if you haven’t. If it is not the right one for you, then stick with your Catholic church, but obviously he chose the Apostolic church, so don’t try to pull him out of it.
I love being Apostolic. I am constantly full of happiness. If you haven’t tried it, I highly recommend it.
Your friend will not convert from Pentecost back to Catholic as long as he is a true Pentecost. I know because I’ve gone to a Pentecost church (not my choice forced by parents) & once you’ve really committed to it you know that all other religions are wrong even if you quit going to the Pentecostal church you know it would do no good to go to a different church because you still go to hell. I don’t live by the standards of my church anymore but I would never go to any different church if I went back.
first, you need to know what apostolic means. It means they teach the same doctrine that the apostles taught, that Jesus taught them.
2) It means they believe the bible for what it says, not what a man wants them to believe.
3) it means they don’t believe in the trinity. So, if you can find the word trinity in the Bible, even one time you may can prove to your friend that the Catholic church is right. the apostolics believe in 1 God, not 3 gods.
4) If there were 3 gods, they may argue about something and then not be in unity.
Good luck with that! I was catholic and now im Apostolic Pentecostal, you should check it out
Hello every one,
I am from the Apostolic Pentecostal Ark Church from Brown\\\’s Town
St.Ann in Jamaica.but i am living and working in the Bahamas, and i attend the United Pentecostal Chuch of the Bahamas, but i would like very much if i can get friends of any Apostolic Pentecostal Church to talk with from time to time please,i am 61years old,and i am taking care of an elderly person, the only time i go out of the house is when i am going to church,i am looking to hear from some one please, have a God blessed weekend,
Praise the Lord every one,
i am so happy to find sone where i can meet Apostolin brethens who i can able to share with, even though i dont understand much about the computer so well. but i am trying my best,God is such an AweSome God to us,
I’m going through something similar. My boyfriend has recently joined this so called religion and he seems brain washed already. I don’t think there’s anything you can do. I’ve been with my boyfriend for over 7 years and he won’t listen to me. I’ve tried showing him research on this religion/cult and it just wont open his eyes. I’m catholic myself, but I am not trying to get him back to the catholic church. It is his choice I just wish is wasn’t this EXTREME toxic cult!!!!!
Let me come to confess something to you people who think that he apostolic churches are cults. Its not a brain washing community. It is the power of the one and only god named jesus that we can call our father the son and the holy ghost. When jesus christ him self fills you with his spirit you are changed in an awesome and unexplainable way. I used to be baptist and I changed to the apostolic faith. And the people from my church have never told me I need to do this and I need to have long hair and I have to wear skirts. NEVER!!! I love being an apostolic and there is no going back because god has made all things new like it says in the bible. The reason I chose to become pentecostal is I prayed all the time and asked god “to become a full child of god?” And he answered me with the apostolic faith. My family is agianst most of the things I do. But I will never deny the one and only jesus christ and what he has called me to do. And you want to say that the catholic church is not brain washing? You are trying to pull that boy back to wear obviously he wasn’t satisfied from were he chose to go. And I am sending out prayer esp to you who think thay we are a cult. I love everybody including catholics. We all do. But we will testify our savior.
I sent this post to another blog entitled “Does being a oneness Pentacostal make me a member of a cult?” Does anyone agree?
Q; Why were the Nuremburg rallies so popular with the crowds in Nazi Germany??
A; To be a part of the atmosphere, to be like/with their friends.
Q; Were people forced to attend?
A; No!
Q; Did they gather round to hear a charismatic emotional leader promise them 1000 yrs of glory, accompanied with exciting music and patriotism?
A; Yes!
At certain periods throughout history almost the whole nation (in question) transforms itself into a cult. It is a phenomenon (taken to its extreme form) known as the “crowd mind state”. Andrzej Łobaczewski in his excellent book; “Political ponerology”, says that these kinds of people instinctively seem to find each other, “like attracts like” they say, (among other sayings). here is a quote from Thomas Carlyle (paraphrase)
“Of all forms of government, a
government of busybodies is the worst. This is
very true. (Oh how true!)
A government by busybodies has neither
head nor tail; working outside the law, it becomes
lawless; and having no law to support it, it finally
depends for its enforcement upon hoodlums and mob
rule. When the respectable and wealthy elements are
resorting to this sort of government, abetted by the
newspapers and by all sorts of busybody societies intent
upon “government by public sentiment”, we finally
have a new thing in the world and a most obnoxious
one, mob rule by the rich; WITH THE ABLE ASSISTANCE OF THE HOODLUMS ALWAYS LOOKING FOR A CHANCE” (emphasis mine).
A man by the name of John Humphrey Noyse, who was a Perfectibilist/Perfectionist (i.e. Illuminati) in his book; “History of American Socialisms” said this. . .
“Our hope is that churches of all denominations (i.e. non-denominational) will by and by be quickened by the PENTACOSTAL spirit and begin to grow and change, and finally, by a process as natural as the transformation of the chrysalis,(i.e.MONARCH) burst forth into COMMUNISM”. (my brackets)
The ostensible author, John Humphrey Noyse, I believe did not actually write this book, but rather it was Huston Stuart Chamberlain. He also wrote the infamous. . . Protocols of the wise men of Zion. . . He was Illuminatis.
Q; Does being a oneness Pentacostal make me a member of a cult? . . A; Yes.

Here’s a lesson for all you non-Catholic and brainwashed Pente cost a lot of time & money….
What Jesus wants is not religious nuts but spiritual fruit. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness self-control; against such there is no law” (Galatians 5:22-23).
Christian character is formed not by outward compulsion but by inward compassion.
I feel sorry for you Pentecults because you have been prayed upon when you were at your weakest. Have strength and demand your own privacy to see clearly again.
Defending the defenceless
Finding the scriptures would be a benefit of leaving the Catholic church. The principles of works-based salvation should be identified for what they are – non-biblical.
