What should you do if your wife talks back to you?
What should you do if your wife gets mouthy, and talks back to you when you tell her to do something? I know back in my grandfather’s day, you could spank your wife with a switch as long as it wasn’t bigger than the size of your thumb. I know that that is not accepted to much anymore unless you go to other parts of the world. I just don’t like my wife talking back to me, im not abusive or anything, but it really pisses me off! Any suggestions please.

YOU married her, was she like this before? If you can’t tolerate her, then get rid of her, and go on with your life. Do not hit, or in any way hurt her, SEE A LAWYER, protect your assets, and begin planning legal proceeding in a secret way so that she has no idea and is not able to ruin you financially. Good luck.

Your not going to be able to win this battle. You cant live with them and you can’t live without them. I know it pisses you off. But If you really think about it NOBODY CAN MAKE YOU MAD BUT YOU.

I’d suggest marriage counseling. Perhaps your requests are too extreme or the manner in which you ask her is offensive. Maybe she is tired of you telling her to do everything while you sit around. Respect is something that needs to be earned. Physical violence is not the answer to anything.
She has a right to voice her opinion. I would listen to what she says. Its best for two to talk it out.

Tell her how much it really pisses you off. And try to find out how it became such. Analyse. Besides, im sure there must be a reason why she started to reply back… perhaps she has some tension of her own, perhaps she needs some love and is frustrated that you tell her to do this or that, or just she has some little grudge against you or something… it happens.
Talk to her lovingly, that will help. Tell her how much you care for her also.

It seems to me that you are acting bad. Women have the own way of think.. We dont need you think for us. In spite of being wife and husband…..we still are ONE person.

You are not her owner……and she is not ur maid……so try to learn to share the things, starting for the way of talking.
By the way…….i’ve been married for the last 32 years……..and if i dont agree with my husband..i reply him back, in spite of he likes it or not..

Sounds like you might need some anger management classes. She’s your wife, not your dog or cat.
It sounds like you and your wife have communication problems. Perhaps an apology and expression of love for her might help a lot. If you’re not able to solve the problem by yourselves, I recommend marriage counseling with a competent counselor or ecclesastical leader.
Divorce your wife because she obviously has a mind of her own and doesn’t need to married to someone who sees her as an obaying woman. Then go marry so girl in another part of the world who will not talk back to you. Good Luck.
Just listen to her….she might be making more sense. as a husband i’ll mind my own language first to make sure that i m not rude or annoying to her. there is nothing wrong asking ur spouse to do something for you (if u cant do it for yourself or lets say ur feelin lazy or moody and just need someone to take care) but ask it with love. Request her. dont ever command her….just keep in mind that she is ur partner not ur slave. so be wise and treat her with love, respect and gentleness. ur her husband and i dont know if u know this or not but a "husband" means a whole lot of thing for a woman ….her protector, her nurturer, her guide, her philosopher, her partner, her FRIEND and LOVER. he is everything to her….atleast thats how a woman feels (if not all women but a majority) and thats why she looks upto her man. i think we men have great qualities in us and i bet we can do much better than just being bossy. so instead of blaming her try to be a good example to her and she’ ll learn from u and in course reflect back these same good qualities to u.
remeber she is ur wife and ur the biggest influence in her life so try to use it to ur advantage and influence her positively. u’ ll ripe the benefits for a lifetime and she would love u, trust u and above all would respect u. and when that happens u dont even need to ask her to do anything but she herself will do all and more for u on her own just out of love.

Even though it can be tempting at times, hitting her won’t solve anything at all: you’ll just end up in jail, and worse, you might seriously hurt her.
My husbands spanked me before when we first got married for talking back and getting mouthy. He only had to do it once…… Don’t get wronge I’m free to have my own opinions and state them, but I’m always respectful.
If you do a study of gender roles, the women’s movement, and various related social changes in the last 25 years you will see that the ever increasing divorce rate directly relates with women trying to run their homes, companies, etc. If you read the bible God designed woman to help/assist man, not vice versa. While you should honor your wife and respect her, she needs to realize she was put on this world to help her husband. If she doesn’t want to do that she is A) with the wrong person B) not ready for marriage.
