How can I get my husband to become attracted to me again?
My husband says that he is not attracted to me anymore, because I became fat and flobby, and I don’t have that firm and fit body that I had four years ago when whe got married. I became fat, and I didn’t take care of my looks because I had to work, go to school, cook, clean, wash, manage bills and monetary issues, and on top of all these I got sick. I got diagnosed with Grave’s disease, then I had my thyroid gland destroyed, so I started gaining weight like a nothing you’ve ever seen. Then, my husband told me that he was not attracted to me anymore, and the spark was not there anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I thought when you get married, it’s supposed to be a standing by through thick and thin, bad and good. O.K. I think I got all these four years hard work of mine was not worth anything. Well, I don’t blame him at all. He couldn’t work, because he didn’t have a permission to work, He is a Belgian citizen (European), and had come here with a student visa. I had to work hard, and go to school, therefore I couldn’t afford to get a lawyer to take care fo his paperwork. Anyways, I don’t know what to think, what to say. I am just stunned. I have lost ten pounds in a month now, and I am going to start exercising like I used to, and I hope he falls in love with me again. I still LOVE MY HUSBAND DEARLY, and I WANT HIM BACK. I want him to love me like he used to, so romantically, so delicately. I am crazy about him. I AM IN LOVE WITH HIM. How can I get him back?

Your husband married a woman that you just are not anymore, and never will be again. Even if you lose the weight.
I think it’s interesting that you were working, and taking care of the home and everything else, while he "couldn’t" work. And he’s on a student visa.
I hate to say it, but I think there’s a chance that he would have "fallen out of love" with you eventually anyway. Your physical appearance just gave him a convenient excuse.
Learn from this, and move on.
I wouldn’t want my husband anymore if he talked to me that way. Are you sure that he didn’t just marry you so that he could stay in this country? What matters is what is on the inside. I have gained weight too from my thyroid and from medications that I have to be on. My husband loves me just the way I am. You shouldn’t have to change yourself for anyone. If your husband doesn’t love you just the way you are then tell him to take a hike back to Belgium.
