If a woman (in a bar) hits a man in the back of the head with a beer bottle and he turns around and punches?
her full force, and knocks her out cold, should he get in any trouble whatsoever?
Assume there was an argument, and he turned to walk away (he never touched her)
In your opinion, how should the man be dealt with in this circumstance and why?

If he kept hitting her after he had knocked her out, then yes.
If it was one punch and done, then absolutely not. She had it coming and picked a fight that she couldn’t win.
He should be provided with an apology for his bruised hand and lacerated head when she wakes up. He should also have any of his medical treatment covered by the woman’s insurance and she should pick up his bar tab.
No, I haven’t had any personal experience with VAWA. But I figure that if I’m going to be sent to prison anyway no matter how I respond, she should at least be sent to the hospital.
Should he get in any trouble whatsoever? Yeah, giant trouble, due to VAWA, he will be in deep sh*t.
However if it is a 100 lbs smaller man, then he’ll be Ok. VAWA is a ONE SIDE law.

Not in my opinion. If you hit someone in the head with a beer bottle when he’s not looking, you have what’s coming to you. An @ss whooping.
It would be self-defense or provocation, but he would probably be charged with a disorderly persons offense.
Revenge is not self defense
He would be in trouble if the punch was simply retalliatory – it’s called ‘aggravated assault’

Depends, if she smashes him as hard as she can with the bottle then he has the right to retaliate with equal force.
But if she just smacked him and he turned around and laid her out that’s over-the-top. And it’s not because she’s a woman–that goes for anyone. It’s kinda like if someone pushes you and you smash their face into the concrete in revenge—it’s too much. Learn some self-control.
The ideal would be not to hit anyone, ever. Don’t let them push you around but don’t sink to that level and be physically violent.
A bottle is a dangerous weapon to be hitting people in the head with. He should defend himself with whatever means he has.

Any time a man hits a woman no matter what the provocation, he’s going to suffer consequences. The only defense is to get away,and if your injuries are really serious, call the cops and make a complaint. They probably won’t take you seriously unless you need several stitches, and have a concussion. In short you are screwed. Worst part is most women know this!!!!!
He should knock her teeth out and see how she likes that!
A friend of mine, a big black man with dredlocks was getting some hassel off a girl once. She was off her head on drugs and was bothering him, she was poking him, slapping him, pulling on his dreds, that sort of thing. So, he kept pushing her off and telling her to stop it, and she wouldnt. So, he slapped her one.
He got locked up for 6 months for assault.
My husband used to see men hit women all the time in the rough clubs up north. No one ever used to dare call the police because the men were from hard families. Most people just leave them to it they are probably both as bad as each other.
The couple upstairs are always doing stuff like that and nothing happens to either of them. I wish they would both get arrested so they would shut up for 5 minutes.
