Is there a way to get him back?

I have this guy friend. Once I really really like him but he told me he didn’t want to date me. We stay as friend after that. But then we became closer and we became best friend. Not long after that, he finally wanna date me but I rejected him cuz it felt weird dating a best friend. He accept my decision and we’re still friends now.

But I want him back now! I was really stupid for rejecting a guy I’ve been wanting for. Is there any way to get him back?
