How do I fix a broke break light on my car?
Yesterday in a carpark a man informed me that my break light on my car is broken. When I got home me and my boyfriend checked it, and sure enough he was right.
My parents are away at the moment so I can’t get Dad to look at it. How can I fix it? Is my car safe to drive while it’s broken? Please help! X

Is this a burned out bulb, or is the red plastic lens broken? Either one will get you a ticket and a fine.
If it’s the bulb, you can replace it, many stores sell bulbs, they are only a few dollars. (Wal-Mart even sells them)
Your owner’s manual has a section that tells you how to replace the bulbs. It’s pretty simple.
If the lens is broken, you can fix it temporarily with some tape. Get a roll of lens tape from a department store or parts store. That will keep you from getting a ticket until you can get a replacement lens.
Good luck
the question should read, how do i fix a BROKEN BRAKE light on my car.
not broke
not break
your welcome
It’s not safe. Go buy a new light, and replace it like any light bulb.
is it broken or just doesnt work??? we have a auto parts store that if u buy the bulb they will put it in for u free. it is called auto zone…some auto parts places will help u…might call one.
It is brake light, not break light. Did you break the brake light lens or is the light bulb filament burned out? If it’s the filament that is bad, take the light bulb out of the brake light socket. Take the light bulb to an auto parts store and get the identical bulb. If it’s the brake light lens, go to your local dealer parts department and get a new one.
you will probably have to replace, and yes it is illegal to show white light from rear when driving.
go to auto zone and get some lens repair. it will work until you get 1 for it.
