If your ex called today..?
and the both of you ended because he/she was a total bum during your entire relationship-and you are married now…would you:
1. Tell them that you are now happily married and the other details in your life about how great you are without them? (Just out of spite).
OR..
2. Don’t tell them anything at all and hang up? (Just so they are clueless to the details in your life)?

Well he doesn’t have any way to contact me. So chances are very, very slim that he will be getting in touch with me any time soon. And really, an ex is just that. What business is it of his to know what my personal LIFE is all about. It ended. Its over and really I would never divulge any kind of details about what is happening in my LIFE. It seems a little too intimate for me. And that is the person that I am no longer intimate with. If he wanted to know all about me, then we would of still been together.
It would be over my husband’s dead body that I would talk about anything so personal with an ex. I am incredibly happy, with my LIFE with my husband and family…not with the ex.
I have absolutely nothing to say to my ex. He is no longer part of my life. If he happens to find out details, fine. But I really have desire to volunteer anything. He’s not worth the effort.
I would talk and not be rude. You never know when you might need him again.
I had this happen. I went with option 2. I’ve moved on with my life, they are no longer a part of it, so why fill them in?
I would be happy to talk to him but I wouldn’t rub it in his face, he would hear in my voice as i hold my twin boys how happy i am now.
Not sure why anyone would go out of their way to spite another. I would simply say we’re over, continue on with your life as I am continuing on with mine. No need to give any explanation as to being happy/unhappy. I get along with my ex but I certainly don’t feel a need to get into detail about my personal life with him.
Depends on how things ended. The ex called you, if there is no reason to be rude, find out what they have to say. Occasionally, people realize things they have done and need some "closure"

I would break out in hysterical loud laughter while she was on the phone and then let her hang up. Been divorced 31 years and remairried 30. Still cant carry on a civil conversation.
