Do christians know what morality really is?
I’ll give you a hint
Letting an 11 year old girl die instead of taking her to a hospital where any nurse could have saved her is immoral.
Having sex with some one of the same sex or someone before marriage does not hurt anyone and is not immoral.
To recap dead child bad. Two happy people good. A book written two thousand years ago shouldn’t change that.
Everyone understand?
Actually it’s not just one couple. And saying anything is a generalzaion is a cheap cop out that I will take to mean that I have one the conversation.

Religion doesn’t have all that much to do with morality. Indeed it replaces genuine morality with an inflexible set of rules which are followed to gain a reward and/or avoid a punishment. Essentially religion teaches obedience in place of morality.
so one couple means christians dont have morals? talk about massive generalization.
Just because something makes someone happy, does not mean it is moral and good. Some people enjoy raping or murding others, but that isn’t right. Some enjoy stealing or gossiping, and we consider them to be immoral. There is a definite right and wrong, and our emotions simply can’t change that
How do YOU decide right from wrong?
I question the motivation of anyone who is making a choice between eternal reward or eternal damnation. That is not ethics, that is selfishness.

I don’t know why yall do dat. come in here to down God. Get out. Not all Christians are the same just like people. I know the kinda people you are talking about. They believe in faith in God and don’t believe in taking them to the hospital. you can take da child to the hospital. And wat would be so bad about that if the child goes to be with God. And 2 same sex people is nasty!!! That isn’t natural affection. That is of the devil and its a spirit.
Im a christian and I know what morals are. The couple that let there daughter die have a very scewed vision of what faith, and christianity are. Be careful to jump to conclusions about people. And I think "immoral" is the wrong word to describe what they did. Stupid, irresponsible, horrible, rediculous, and inexcusable will work.
And having sex with someone of the same sex can have negative effects….as can sex outside of marrige…
lastly..have you ever read any of the bible?? its more than a book. no other literature in history has been copied more, transcribed more, used more, or respected more than the bible. it is the word of god and as hard as people try, it can not be denied as legitimate. it lines up with all historical writings from all cultures, and has changed lives with its contents and still does today. Again, dn’t be to quick to judge.
Most people got their religion and values from their parents. Many young people are turning away from the Church because of the very issues you raise and others. It is not easy to break tradition and it not easy to tell ones family that one is turning his or her back on their (the family’s) belief system. In an age of common and cowardly people who stay with the flock one must admire the ones that depart and find their own way.
