is it possible to make yourself stop loving someone and then fall back in love with them again?
i had dated a guy for a year, and he ended up breaking up with me. the only reason he stopped seeing me was because he was going through some personal issues involving his ex wife over custody of their young son. he still loved and wanted me but the time wasnt right for a relationship. after several months he told me that he had to make himself get over me because it was hard for him to deal with things while still thinking of me. he then told me the very next month that he had fallen in love with a female friend. i was still in love with him and said some things i wish i had not said. he told me that it was best that we didnt contact each other anymore. last week he got back in touch with me and told me that he misses me and that his feelings for me had started to return. is this something that is possible? can you stop loving someone and then several months later start loving them again even though you had no contact? i miss and love him but i don’t want to risk being hurt again.

Don’t go back with him, he is only after what he wants at that moment, he doesn’t really care about anyone else’s feeling but his own, he will say what he knows you want to hear to get you back but when he gets a whiff of another woman he gets feeling for out you’ll go again and after awhile he will have you hanging on the side line waiting for him to change his mind again and he will know no matter what he does you’ll come back to him, he is no catch, move on, find a real man that will love you no matter what, don’t look back.
You never stopped loving him really…. you just hated him in order to avoid the fact that you still loved him. It’s much easier to hate because it doesn’t hurt as much as when you love somebody and you got hurt. I wish I could just hate right now, but instead I have to let myself feel the pain and admit (to myself only) that I still love, but can no longer be able to share that love, with the other person. Even at one point when we were away from eachother for 9 months and even got involved with others, the moment we saw one another, the feelings were as if they had never left. So, I guess it is possible, but does that mean it is smart or safe or something that is meant to be??? Nope, not even. Be careful.

i went through the same thing my husband and i dated seven years ago he left me for another woman we had no contact whatso ever then one day we ran in to each other after sevn years and he asked me for my number so i gave him my cell. the funny thing i thought that he would not call but then he did asking me to meet him at the park we talk for hours and it is funny how old feelings come back. all i can say to you see how things goes what is it going to hurt

First of all yes it is possible. In my opinion you can never stop loving someone you once loved (most of the time). Love dosent end it detatches. But if love can’t be consistent it dosent thrive as well as it should. So when or if you hop back into this relationship. Think about this; Are you following you heart into this relationship, do i really love this man? Think about it.
