Would you take your ex to small claims????
I broke up with my ex about a month ago. While I was with her she was unemployed and I helped her out by paying her car insurance, paid for her cat to go to the vet, bought her medications she needed, and bought her younger sisters christmas presents because niether she nor her folks could afford to buy them anything. Now during all of this she kept telling me that she would pay me back as soon as she got a job. Will now she has had a job for a month (she started right before we broke up) and now when I talk to her about the money she tells me that she doesn’t have any extra money to pay me with. I don’t feel that she is sincere and I am thinking of taking her to small claims. I know there is no guarantee that I’ll get my money, but I feel that I have a better chance. Do you agree with me taking her to small claims, or should I just leave her be?
By the way, I do have all of the receipts. Most of it was charged, so I also have the card statements. For the one time I paid with a check, I have the canceled check from the bank plus a bank statement.

For example, next time you start dating a woman, take her on cheap dates for a while, and if she’s a user or a gold-digger, then she won’t stick around. Seperate the wheat from the chaff, so to speak.
the court might not be in your favor too much, just let it be a lesson learned and move on!
leave her be and move on….consider it a lesson learned and do a better time next time of chosing a better match for you….
She just started her job, so maybe you can make a payment plan with her. You could take her to small claims court, because she did promise to pay you back and she hasn’t. But if you do take her to small claims court, just get her for the car insurance and the medications, not the Christmas presents because that would just make it look like you are out to get her, and that’s ugly.
Don’t waste your time or your money because chances are she doesn’t have your money..
its like this unless you have proof of a verbal agreement such as something in writing someone who heard it that’s reliable not like your best friend-your mom and or you have all your receipts because you cant go to court and just say i think its around $300.00 they will want exact amounts then chalk it up to a lesson learned you don’t spend all kinds of money on someone you either are not willing to just give it to or that you will need later the first rule of lending money among friends,family or lovers is never loan what you want back because nine times out of ten it will not come back to you and if it does it will never be in the time frame you were hoping for so all you can do from here is say hey i helped you when you needed me and so i am hoping you will do the right thing and work something out to help pay me back and give her a option of maybe $10.00 a month or something its not a lot but its something and at this point its the principle that counts and tell her but if not then good luck to you and i hope one day you will remember my kindness and do something nice for someone else and not expect anything back!
Would you be asking for this money back if she was still with you? If not then just let it go. Without any written contract, receipts or proof I don’t think you have a chance anyways. I am sure she is not swimming in money so why bug her.
It would be hard to prove in court…Cut your loses and be grateful she is out of your life….
Yes! I’ve previously took an ex to small claims an I actually won my case. However when you do when your case, Please ask the judge to give you an non-discharge court order. Because if not, the ex may file bankruptcy an that will charge your debt off! leaving you UN paid! Trust…….It happened to me!!!
So know my ex’s new girlfriend laughs when she see me. But its all good,I didn’t get paid,but all the torture an torment I put them through paid off very well! Wish you could of seen they face when they got towed for driving on a suspended license! The suspended license came from part of my non Payment of the debt!!! Then that was when they filed!!!
F.Y.I. If you do win your case, an they dont wanna pay. Have they sh!t suspended!!! LOLOL

just let it go and move on lets just say you were compensated already, you did have a good time while you were with her right? I don’t understand why couples to this? want to sue for money that was put into a relationship,
