How do I get him to come back for Thanksgiving?

So long story. But me and this guy had a strong relationship before he moved. He said he was gonna come back for thanksgiving. But he is hot and cold ever since he moved. So I’m really not sure if he’s gonna come back. I know once he does though he will fall for me again, cuz long story but it’s always happened that way. How can I threw text or phone can I get him to come back for thanksgiving?
