I want my sister to live with me and my husband but shes only 13 turning 14 in march?
My sister curently lives with my dad but hes doing cocaine. I dont want my sister to be around that. so could she come live with me and my husband. I’m only 17 turning 18 in February and my husband is 19 turning 20 in july. What are the laws on this in NC? and what would happen with school? would i need to be her legal guardian to enroll her in school?

You would have to be her legal guardian. In order to become that, you will have to show that your parents are not taking proper care of her. She’ll be able to state what she herself wants, but you will still have to prove that they’re unfit parents. This unfortunately will take time.
You will need to not only get proof, but you will also need a darn good lawyer. You will also need to show that you can provide a stable living environment.
Since you are both so young, I’ll be honest- the courts may think that you are too young to take proper care of her. You’ll have to be prepared to show that you are both very mature & responsible. There’s a lot of sites that can help you out with this. They’re more oriented towards parents trying to gain custody, but you can get lots of tips from there.
