What would make a man go back to his ex-wife?
I thought that he had liked me and there was a lot of chemistry so I thought. They have been divorced for over 2 years I found out from a friend that he was planning on moving in several months to try and make it work with his ex-wife again for his child. Is he lonely? Is he just confused and doesn’t know what he wants? His ex was cheating on him with a friend of his and I don’t know how he could ever get past that. He won’t even speak to me now. What do I do?

It sounds like he misses his child. He may want to give it another try for his child. Parents sometimes will make personal sacrifices for the well-being of their children, i.e. stay in an abusive relationship, or stay with someone they no longer love just because it is more important to their family unit. Wish him all the best and let him know you can always be a good friend.
Run away screaming, and go find yourself a guy with a LOT less baggage!!
Maybe he misses his money.
Or his child.
Stay out of it. He’s in no position to start with someone new.
Perhaps he still loves her and wants his family back…

Sounds like he wants to try again with his wife. Some men don’t quite get over their exes, especially since she was cheating on him. I would bow out graciously and wish him well. Don’t take him back though when it doesn’t work out.
He has unresolved issues with his ex wife. Be glad he didn’t marry you and then decide he loved his ex wife.
He still loves her obviously, especially to forgive or overlook the affair that she had with his friend. Just move on, you will find the right person that you need to be with. Good Luck!

Men would go back to their ex wife when they realize they are missing the things they took for granted especially her. Sometimes we as humans think that things are always greener on the other side until we get to the other side and miss things the way it used to be. We are all guilty of it and need to remember what we have.
