He needs to put his foot down. He might not want to be confrontational or look cruel, but he has to be firm about this. It's up to him to tell her that what she's doing is unacceptable and if it continues after that, it's harassment. he can make a complaint to the social networking people to have her removed from their network if it continues. Even the police can get involved. She's getting married to someone else, but she might be so insecure and unsure about the new relationship that she's trying to go back to something safe... your guy.
