Take me for a 13 year old girl who is interested in Christianity. How would you explain Trinity to me?
Of course I would’ve preferred to type it as a ’10 year old instead’, but that would be a violation of answers forum! It’s sad that I’ve post 952 question in all, but now only 719 of them remains (rest removed or didn’t show up).

The trinity is just the evolution of polytheistic religions to a monotheistic religion. People like to think of different gods for different things, but the groups wanted one god, so they created the Trinity.
God, the Father
Jesus, Son of God
Holy Spirit, the spirit of God.
Trinity
1 + 1 + 1 = 1
God + Jesus + Holy Spirit = God
Don’t question, just believe.
Avoid school lessons on maths and logic. Those are enemies of the true believers in the trinity.
I would say forget the trinity, it is an illogical and faulty doctrine. Instead view it this way:
There is 1 God, the father. He created all things. His active force is what we call the "Holy Spirit."
God sent a savior (his only begotten son) into the world, who is Jesus Christ. Jesus is the son of God, the messiah, and savior. He is God’s right-hand man, the firstborn of all creation. Jesus is also defined as the "word of God.’
Keep it simple and just follow the bible. If you try to make up doctrines that aren’t in it, it gets rather confusing.
A false teraching
The central doctrine of religions of Christendom. According to the Athanasian Creed, there are three divine Persons (the Father, the Son, the Holy Ghost), each said to be eternal, each said to be almighty, none greater or less than another, each said to be God, and yet together being but one God. Other statements of the dogma emphasize that these three “Persons” are not separate and distinct individuals but are three modes in which the divine essence exists. Thus some Trinitarians emphasize their belief that Jesus Christ is God, or that Jesus and the Holy Ghost are Jehovah. Not a Bible teaching.
Does the Bible agree with those who teach that the Father and the Son are not separate and distinct individuals?
Matt. 26:39, RS: “Going a little farther he [Jesus Christ] fell on his face and prayed, ‘My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt.’” (If the Father and the Son were not distinct individuals, such a prayer would have been meaningless. Jesus would have been praying to himself, and his will would of necessity have been the Father’s will.)
John 8:17, 18, RS: “[Jesus answered the Jewish Pharisees:] In your law it is written that the testimony of two men is true; I bear witness to myself, and the Father who sent me bears witness to me.” (So, Jesus definitely spoke of himself as being an individual separate and distinct from the Father.)
The Bible shows very clearly that there is only one God, and yet that there are three personal distinctions in His complex nature, traditionally referred to as "three Persons in the Godhead"—God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
Each is distinct from the others but never acts independently. They are one in nature and purpose. This mystery is called the doctrine of the Trinity, though that term is not used in the Bible. The teaching, however, is present in seed form in the Old Testament and is revealed explicitly in the New Testament. Note passages such as Matthew 28:19; John 10:30, 14:26; 2 Corinthians 13:14.
Our finite minds cannot understand or explain this mystery of God, which is nevertheless a fact. We must accept the truths found in the Word of God by faith even though we ourselves cannot comprehend them fully; read Hebrews 11:1, 3, 6 and 1 Corinthians 2:5-10, 14; 13:12.
It is really not surprising that the infinite God should be complex in His nature beyond the ability of finite humans to comprehend! This doctrine is absolutely essential to New Testament Christianity. Theologians have pointed out that if it were not true, the Bible would be unreliable, Christ would not be divine, and His death on the cross would not atone for our sins, being merely the death of a martyr.

this question does not compute! REALLY!!!
There is the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
read your Bible carefully and compare all the stories. You may be surprised to see how much disagreement exists there. All Bible scholars who are honest recognize that the Bible is mythology and must be interpreted in view of modern thinking. The idea of the Trinity was foisted upon Christianity, partially as a means of informing a uniform theology. Constantine wanted uniformity, because he was a thoroughgoing dictator and wanted uniformity in his empire. Therefore, he forced Christianity to be uniform and permitted Athanasius to force his opinion upon the developing Christianity.
I would explain that there is one God who is made up of three individuals ‘persons’ — kind of like a family is one unit made up of different parts, or a body is one unit with different organs.
These Three are God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. I would then go on the explain each.
God the Father is the maker of Heaven and Earth.
God the Son died for our sins.
God the Holy Spirit guides us and helps us to love.
Well, from your own words, looks like your "Questions" don’t last too long here, do they?
Let me tell you an old Buddhist tale, which might help you see things a bit more clearly.
Three blind men came upon an elephant standing and grazing and each of them went and felt around to "see" what gentle giant was like.
The first, who was feeling the trunk, said that it was like a great big hose pipe – thick and long.
And the second, who was hugging a leg, said "Oh no, my friend, you are totally wrong. It’s like a mighty Pillar!"
The third chortled and said – "You are both fools! I have the Truth! It’s like a great big cauldron full of boiling potion, but, strangely not too hot on the outside!" because he was "looking" at the belly.
Now, in their own limited ways, all three were right, from their own perspectives of what they "saw"; while in the totality and reality, they were all wrong, because their limited "vision" let them "see" only what they wanted to believe was the Truth.
Tell me, have you learned anything from this?
Do you still think that only your Book is the True One?
If you still do, then remember you are following one of those three blind men and mocking the other for his "vision"; when none truly know the Truth.
To be able to "see" the Truth, you need to remove the blinds of prejudice and the delusion of grandeur you live in and learn true humility.
Till then, you will only "see" the emptiness of your credulous beliefs and prejudice.
Cheers!
I would explain to you, as to anyone else, that the Trinity is not a scriptural teaching. That it didn’t appear as a church tenet until 400 years after Christ’s death, which should give one pause. That the trinity teaching was coopted from the pagan teachings of the Greeks, the Assyrians and others.
The average 13 year old is not going to understand a deep theological lecture. The best way I have found to explain it to children is that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit make up one Godhead, just as the skin, the flesh and the core make up one apple.
I’d tell you that it is an ungodly man-made doctrine that was added into ‘Christianity’ long after Jesus walked the earth. It has nothing to do with God & is found nowhere in the bible & it has pagan origins. It’s also totally unacceptable to the true God of the bible & true Christians don’t believe in it.
Hope that helps
Here is a very good teaching on the truth of the Trinity: http://www.icr.org/article/2494/
Jesus is God, and Jesus loves you so very much!
The truth about Jesus is that the only way to be saved and to get into heaven and avoid being sent to hell, is by believing in Jesus for salvation, believing in faith alone that Jesus, who is God, died on the cross for all our sins as FULL PAYMENT for all our sins, and then Jesus rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Believe in Jesus alone for salvation, and you will be in heaven, no matter what!
Salvation is a FREE GIFT that happens in a split second when you believe in Jesus alone to save you! It is impossible to lose or "leave" salvation (John 6:39-40, John 10:28, 1 John 5:13).
Please pray now: "Jesus, I believe that You died on the cross to pay for my sins and that You rose from the dead, and I thank You for eternal life!" You will be in heaven with Him forever when you die!
