i think my ex is early stage manic depressive to be honest! he keeps breaking up with me "convinced he’s doing the right thing" and then he comes back begging. before he does it he’ll start getting really withdrawn and stuff. i suspect manic depression because his mom has it and he was on anti-depressants for a year, came off them a few months before i met him. his friends don’t know this stuff but want to have a talk with him for giving me up because they think he’s ******* up his life because i was so good for him. any input on THAT is appreciated! anyway, i can’t be with someone like that.
it’s so hard to look at a photo of him or something, wait for a text back to say hello. it just hurts so much. is it better just to cut him out completely? i’m going to be going away in a month, i’ll be ok then. but i never wanted to just cut him out of my life because he was the best friend i ever had…but maybe i should? is it recommended?
getting guys isn’t a problem, they love me. i’m not the type to ever have a one-night stand though.

I know exactly what you’re going through. I just broke up with my boyfriend of over two years and it was so hard because I loved him so much, but it just wasn’t working and I don’t think he even realized that or cared.
I’m not really sure what you should do since my guy was also my first real love and I’m still trying to figure things out and am also seeking advice. For me, I’m not going to contact my boyfriend at all. However, if he does contact me, I don’t think I could help but talk to him. I’m not saying it’s the right thing to do though. You should do what you feel is best. But if you really feel your ex suffers from depression, cutting all contact from you completly if he tries to contact you isn’t good because he could go suicidal.

i experienced the same predicament. But i realized that a relationship both couple should grow. If he acts like that, its more of getting all more attention and concern from you. . He may be your best friend but remember you have yourself to take care of.
hi you need to keep away from him and any mutual friends you have for awhile, its great that you are going away for awhile. You need to change some things in your life that don’t constantly remind you of him, take on new hobby, make new friends, it will take alot of time but you really are best off without him as you say. As you feel he was your best friend its OK to always hold a very small place for him in your heart but time will heal and so will meeting someone else that you get along with even better, good luck!!!
