Non working parents working the system and getting arrested should not have full custody of anyone. I'd get those kids out of there fast. I would be putting all my effort toward getting those kids and not about the money. He needs to make an offer to her to take full custody of the kids and pay zero dollars to her anymore. Or find out why she needs an increase? Day care? Clothes etc? Let her know the money will go directly to that. You will buy the clothes, pay the day care directly or buy the school books. That's the way it works. I find it hard to believe that you were told you wouldn't get custody as if it were willy nilly when in reality there must be a good reason she has custody and your husband doesn't. You're not supporting the entire household. He's supporting his children as he is required to do. Have your day in court if you so choose but he'll still have to pay something regardless if she retains custody of their children. That's life. You knew when you married him that he had baggage like that. She has custody, he pays her child support. That’s the way it works.
