They could be used to summon angels or demons. They could be used in other ways such as binding and enchanting items. An example would be a triangle within a circle that could represent the trinity. It could be used to bind something. The incantation for it could be something like: In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, let nothing pass through this barrier. There you have it.
