My ex-boyfriend broke/destroyed many of my belongings. How can I get him to pay me back?
We were living together while I broke up with him, and before he moved out he broke many of my belongings. All in all, the damages come to at least a couple hundred dollars. What can I do in this situation to make him pay me back for what he destroyed?

Realistically, not much. You can take him to small claims court, though. You might also put a call into your homeowner’s or renter’s insurance carrier and see if they will cover it.
small claims court. Serve him with an appearance notice. Chances are he won’t show. Default judgment to you. You get his future paychecks until it’s paid off.
