Can someone explain to me what the hell the orlando Magic are doing?
now that they acquired VC, they most likely wont be able to re-sign Turkoglu. They also lost a young stud in Courtney lee and Rafer Alston.
Last year, their success was based on ball movement. VC does not fit that playing style. he needs to dominate the ball to be successful. Courtney Lee and Turkoglu fit perfectly in the Magic’s system. Neither of them need to dominate the ball to be effective.
This trade made the Magic much weaker in my opinion. Their already thin bench is now even thinner.
wtf were they thinking?
@ noe23: wow you are a dumb@ss… they didn’t need someone to "take over in crunch time" Turkoglu is one of the best clutch players in the NBA and he can create his own shot!

Championship! You are telling me with the same team they just had they will beat a tougher Cavs team, a Healthy Celtics team and the defending Champs, Lakers?
VC is a better ball handler, a better player overall.
He can create his shot better than Hedo.
Also what they needed was for someone to take over the game during crunch time and VC can do that for them.
But they do need to sing Hedo as well to be the favorites next season. But it is a smart move, they didn’t need Rafer, having Jameer back and Courtney Lee is and won’t be better than VC.
Seems to me they are… over-reacting.

you will know what they were thinking once next season is over jeez calm down if they do worse then last year you will be right but if they win the title or get back to the finals you look pretty stupid dont judge a trade or a draft pick till you see what happens a year or two later
I agree 2 i mean like turkoglu rocks and courtney lee is a young gret player with a great career ahead of him…And they lost rafer alston OMG wth… i mean all of this for vince carter…. i mean i respect vince but he is not that good to trade your whole roster!???!!!??
i agree with noe23. you don’t know what your talking about alston is old and nelson is the team leader so their wasn’t any room for him on the team and lee was nothing special.
Their looking to shake things up a bit by adding another star player to their team. And for all you know, this trade could work out well. I mean honestly, you can not tell me Courtney Lee is better than Vince Carter. And assuming Jameer stays healthy, they are set.

Rafer couldn’t play with Nelson so one of them had to go. I would prefer Nelson of Rafer anyday.
