Orioles Fans only. Do you feel that this year is really Orioles Magic in the making?
Since the release of the newest Orioles Magic video a few days ago, the Orioles have won every game since the video was made. The Orioles are 17-0 leading after 8 innings and 10-5 with one-run difference games.

Why not bring back Davey Johnson !!! He set high standards when the Ravens were just a baby with Ted Marchibroda and losing every other game almost.
Pat, its really hard to tell from that if they are doing improvement because look what happened a few years ago after the all-star break. Orioles in first then lose almost every game after that.

Orioles Magic = 1983
August 24th – Tippy Martinez picks off 3 Blue Jays in the top of the 10th inning because Len Sakata is catching for the first time since Little League. Cal ties the game in the bottom of the 10th and Len (who hit maybe five homers a year) drives out a three run homer to win the game 8 to 5. I’ve never been so hoarse. The Orioles ride the momentum from this game to the playoffs and win the World Series.
1996 – In retaliation for the Alomar spitting incident – umpire Garcia rules a home run on an obvious spectator interference play. This changes the outcome of the ALCS and allows New York to advance to (and win) the World Series, starting their late 90’s "dynasty". The Orioles have finished in fourth place every year since (thanks, Devil Rays).
Can the Orioles accomplish something this year? The time is right – New York and Boston are not as good this year as they have been for the last decade. And the Orioles have jetesoned all the "me, me, me" superstars that are a cancer in the clubhouse. (What in the hell were we thinking signing Albert Belle, or resigning Palmeiro?)
As with any team with young, unproven players – things could go either way — I will be pleased with finishing above .500 and not in last place – that would be a good starting point.

I don’t think the Orioles fans are getting too excited yet. Have you been to or watched a game on tv lately? Unless people are dressed up in empty seat costumes, they aren’t going to the games. The only time that place gets filled up is when the Yankees or Red Sox are in town and the fans are mostly Yankees and Red Sox fans doing it.

I think its to early to say. I would love to say yes but logic won’t let me.
I think with the schedual they have coming up over the next weeks (which started on tuesday), in which they play the Red Sox, Nationals, Yankees, Rays, Yankees, Red Sox, Twins, Blue Jays, and then the Red Sox again. If they come through that with a winning record (already 3-0 to start this stretch) then I’ll start to believe.
Long story short, ask me again in a month.
They have a nice future though. Adam Jones, Matt Wieters, Markakis (spelling?), Chris Tillman (Pitcher from Minors)

The Orioles don’t have a decent player in their lineup. Sure they got a few wins early in the season, but to say that this will be a magical season is a bit out there.
