Sometimes people need space to grow and understand themselves better and to be sure of what they want. If you are now positive that its him and he still feels the same (which is very impressive, most guys would have moved on a long time ago) then I would communicate to him that you want to be a family again. Also, it will be so wonderful for your kids to have their entire family back under the same roof, not to mention healthy for them mentally. Good luck and congrats!
