Okay so I have sims 1 and every time I go 2 the body thing (where you make new clothes and download faces)…?
I see these weird faces that are kinda messed up and look like someone has like scribbled on it or something and then I went to Paint and where it streches out there face it looked normal but on the sim it looked freakish. So I figured it would be normal when I downloaded it and made my sim once I actually open the sims and make my sim…I can’t find the face so I guess it looks like the rest of them. But I don’t really see any new ones that are appealing even though I’ve added just about all of them. So I saw these other weird faces that were like half there and one of them was like a stone person and the other one was like a vampire and looked like the person from the magic place. Soooo I put it on and blah blah blah saved it and it downloaded, right? WRONG! I can’t find it and I really hate how all my sims are incredibly boring-looking and my sims 2 installation code is somewhere in a landfill so now I don’t have that…does this happen to everyones sim 1 game, or just mine? And if this has happened to you, please explain how I get it to work?

I have no idea what you mean by "the body thing." Is it an online program? If so, please give the link so I can check it out.
Anyway, the problem might be that the face bmp is using the wrong mesh. Every skin in The Sims uses three files. The files have the following extensions (the last three letters in the file name after the period):
1. bmp (graphic)
2. skn (mesh – gives the face and hair, or body and clothing, their shape)
3. cmx (controller – tells the program which bmp uses which mesh)
If the bmp file is not named correctly, it can use the wrong mesh. In that case, the resulting look can indeed be weird. That’s because the bmp is being "wrapped around" a mesh that’s the wrong shape.
There’s a free program called SimPose that might help you figure out what’s wrong. You can get it at: http://simpose.com/
Put copies of all the skin files you want to check out (i.e. bmp, skn, and cmx) into SimPose. For instance, if you’re checking out several heads, put all of the files associated with them into the program. That done, you’ll be able to see how each bmp looks with the mesh (skn) for which it’s named, as well as try it out on any other meshes that are also in SimPose.
If a face looks good in SimPose with a mesh that has a different name, you can simply change the name of the bmp file so it uses that mesh. For instance, if the bmp is named C123…, and it looks good with a mesh named xskin-C234…, simply rename the face bmp to C234…
Files go into specific folders within SimPose, as follows:
1. skn and cmx files go into ObjB (boy), ObjF (adult female), ObjG (girl), ObjM (adult male). Within the Obj folders are subfolders for body, hand, and head files. The skn and cmx files must be placed into the correct subfolder.
2. bmp files go into TexB (boy), TexF (female adult), TexG (girl), TexM (adult male). For the most part, bmp files can go directly into the above Tex folders, or you can use the Body or Head subfolder, or create subfolders of your own within the Tex folder to better keep track of what you’re working on.
If I could see the problem you’re having, I might be able to tell you what’s wrong. I create skins for The Sims, so I have hundreds of meshes in SimPose.
By the way, there are still lots of places to download skins for The Sims. Have you looked into that? Or, is it that you want to make your own? If so, you might want to try your hand at creating stuff from scratch, or using Maxis’ originals, and simply making changes. If you’re not planning to share the results with anyone, you can even change skins you’ve downloaded from fan sites. Again, if you rework another creator’s skins, you cannot share them, unless the original creator’s policy states otherwise, because those skins are the copyrighted property of the artists.
Good luck with this. If you need more help, you can e-mail me.

Actually, all items created with/for The Sims are explicitly noncommercial and free to share, as per the legal terms of the EULA made by EA.
So you can do whatever you want with whatever you get.
And you should NOT be made to pay for it.
Some sites ignore this however, and EA seems content to sit back rather than enforce their own legal contract/s.
(All versions of the Sims use similar EULAs meaning the same thing)
