i found out where my ex is hiding out with my son, what can i do to get him back? i tryed?
going over there and taking him but they called the police on me and i cooulnt take him out of the shelters custody, okay my ex took my son away from me on 12/5 with out my permission, he ran to the shelter and has been there since, my son has a stable home here with all his stuff here i have his birth certificate, immuzations and other stuff im trying to file for custody but its a long preocess and i need him home now, i have our other daughter here he just took my son, can i call cps and tell them that hes living in a shelter when my son has a home to go to? please someone help me i dont have a record im clean im not a bad parent my ex is just using my son to get a place to live (the shelter only helps family with assistance to get a place) what can i do does anyone have experience with this? please help

Go to court, file for full custody..consult with a lawyer..do things legally..
Call the feds. they’ll help .
Your best bet is to call the police and contact a lawyer. If you have nothing in writing at this point indicating who has custody, then as the father, he does have the right to have your son. However once you start the court proceedings for custody (obviously you will need court intervention) then what he is doing will look bad on him and work in your favour.
you could call the cops and report it as a kidnapping. this will force any proceedings to be rushed so as to be resolved quickly.
