Are we that think completely negative against of our own country that may have fallen by the wayside, having made a mistake with the law, and are now looking to do all that is possible to rectify that mistake to become productive and responsible citizens, any different from the terrorists nations and regimes we hate and criticize any different?

We say lock em up and throw away the key… they’re all bad apples… who cares about em, they should have never gotten into trouble…. What makes us different from the terrorists and the wild nations whom we are quick to judge for what they do their people? Sure some people deserve to have continued punishment – but not all people who have offended. Even some violent offenders want to get it right, and are capable of so doing this. What those with families and children they can’t support because they can’t get a fair shake at a "reasonable job" or gainful employment. What did the children do to be apart of the suffering, as they’ve suffered enough. We can make Atomic Bombs, high tech gadgets, and all types of discoveries, but we can’t judge between the good person who wants to do right, and the guy who’ll just keep on doing wrong.

We don’t take the time, neither are we willing… we’re just willing to accept and put up stereotypes, some mostly built on a foundation of ignorance. All of you whom think as such, having no concern, are the same as the Taliban, the Al-Quieda, and those regimes, in terms of spreading "oppression." Oppression of our own people… only difference between those of you and those of them, is that they use weapons… you all use laws and discrimination to carry your oppression, right? Right.

This received some amazing responses, as I figured it would. But the responses have also clarified the point of why we are a "country the world hates and cannot stand." We are too puffed up in our imaginations. Instead of making a good judgment, we use the same old "what if" scenario – if you took your time to look at an ex-offender who probably has a good prior history, you wouldn’t come to such foolish conclusions. What about those whom have a good recent work history, haven’t offended for years ever since the first time, and have been playing by the rules working honestly, but are victims of the current economic crisis via "layoff." You mean to tell me we shoud "re-expose" them to unfavorable discrimination? If you agree yes to this, you’re a terrorist at heart and probably a racist at heart, too. Remember ex-offenders come in all colors… Keep it real. Should danger befall one of you in some way (falling off a cliff or better yet, in the heat of battle in war) and an ex-offender was an honorable comrade or a person in the area who is able offer assistance, you’d certainly ask for help or expect them to have your back in battle.

Don’t play the game for those of you who play the game!!! Don’t forget about crimes some of our wealthy celebrities that we watch on TV have been guilty of, and yet we receive them back with open arms. Because of our lack to help one another up, I now see what this country is becoming, and I understand why other nations say we are arrogant. I can see why they see us the way they do. Should the ex-offender plight befall one of your own children, close friends, or relatives, you would cry out it isn’t fair and that they deserve another chance…. for those whom so rightfully deserve one – some people have only made "ONE" mistake, and are still capable of being used and turned around. I bet you’d fight nail and tooth if were your son or daughter with the same shoe on… I can guarantee it. We would use our money and associations and call all types of lawyers and politicians who just so happen to close friends of the family. Yeah, lets not play stupid. We are in trouble, people. Seriously.

Let Bin Laden and the rest of your friends in the regimes make their way to our country (for those who think like them, they’re your friends)… driving down your street throwing IEDs at that dream house, dashing your children with their weapons and bashing your neighbors’ heads with pipes and other objects…. we would pray to GOD to send one of our troops to save us…. even if he were a convicted felon in the cilivian world, who made just one mistake the he could make up for. And they can get into the millitary, after having served their time… some of them fight for us, actually. But your lives are so protected and safe, you don’t realize true evil. Keep it real, and quit playing games, some of you all need help, and YOU ARE NO DIFFERENT THAN THE MEN AND WOMEN OF THOSE REGIMES WHO REPRESENT THE MANY FACES OF TERRORISM…. quit looking to Webster’s Dictionary for the meaning of terrorist, and terrorism… and just keep it real.
