What's the best way to get rid of carpenter bees?
I live way back in the woods and have a serious problem with carpenter bees boring into the wood on my home. My husband wants to put gas into a spray bottle and try to hit them but I told him no way that I don’t want my house to go up in flames because of a few dumb bees. Please somebody help me with this problem.

Your best bet is a professional exterminator. They are hard to get rid of otherwise.I had them in the addition my husband was building, and traditional bug bombs and blocking the site of their entrance will not work because they will burrow out another way through the wood.Once you get rid of the infestation,a deterrent would be to make sure all wood surfaces on your home are painted or stained and have no raw wood around your home. Those bees prefer raw wood.Good luck to you!
You need professional help of the exterminator variety!
We had them when we moved into our home. I hate to tell it, but we killed them with tennis racquet’s. That’s how my neighbor told us they got rid of theirs. I hated doing it . I thought those bees were so cute, but they were eating our house down.
Inject each hole with boric acid (usually found at the local pharmacy). After each hole is treated seal up the holes with wood putty, sand and paint.
This will take care of the current problem but, will not prevent future problems.
If you want to prevent future problems, call a pest control company.
