Could Lebron average a Triple-Double, for an entire season, in Mike D'aintoni's system?
Some people believe Lebron will go to the Knicks in 2010. I’m not saying he will, but this is a "what if?"
Lebron already puts up freakish numbers, in a pretty slow offensive system. If you put him in a system where it’s "7 seconds or less" could he average a triple-double for an entire season? He would most likely play some PF (he is about the same size as Karl Malone) so he would get more rebounds, and he could easily average 10 assists with all those extra offensive positions, and possibly a player like Chris Bosh, beside him. So, do you think he could?
Disclaimer: I have never been a Lebron fan, but it struck me as an interesting thought. The possibility of him averaging a triple-double does not necessarily make him a better player than Kobe or Jordan. Oscar Roberston has accomplished the feat and does not necessarily make him better than Jordan or Magic.
or maybe I should ask this, tonight, when there are serious answerers on…

First off this is an excellent question. I hope you get many answers. Second, it is a definite possibility. The idea of Lebron averaging a triple double makes me speechless. I do agree with you. Although Oscar Robertson did average a triple double one season, he is not considered (in my opinion) one of the greatest to play the game. Lebron is and he will but not yet, become the best player in the NBA. He will definitely go down and one of the best players to play the game.
It does make sense in D’Antoni’s system, in such a fast paced game, there will be more opportunities for assists and rebounds.
Only if Bricks and Traveling count as a statistical category
BWAHAHAHHAHAHHA !!!!!!!
he definitely has the skill to do it, but that is a real hard task..but give him a couple years and i think we might see him doing that!
I think its a possibility
I think so because he’s fast, likes to go on a fast brake,to attack the rim,to shot jumpers,to lead a team,to set up his team mates…..
He;s fantastic and he can averge 30 ppg,12 apg,10 bpg because he’s a great all around player and best triple double machine. With NYK having great records he would win the MVP a lot of times and rings too!And i see him as a better player then Wade and Kobe
