I was with this guy for like 4 and a half months he previously had a relationship with his ex for 2 years when we met he had been apart from her for like 3 months. I met him through a friend and since the day he saw me he was pretty much obsessed with me we had lots of arguments throughout the relationship because he smokes weed and I feel that he could not control his temper sometimes eventually he broke up with me and he cried on the fone to me insisting that he wanted to remain friends as I was such a big part of his life, we carried on speaking for the first few weeks saying that we missed eachother however I was going to go on a date with another guy but I asked him how he felt about this and he made out that he was fine about it. But I noticed his behaviour changed after this he stopped speaking to me and we started to argue again tho we were not even together anymore. I did not know what was going on but a few months later I found out his ex came back to him once she found out we had broken up. During the time before I found out he did not tell me even though he spoke to me on a few occasions whilst they must have been together and he would always text me asking me how I had been and what I had been up to. So I left him to it but he has done things in the meantime that has made me wonder like asking our mutual friend how I am recently and insisting on hanging onto gifts from me as well as cards and other centimental things. He told me that they mean alot to him as they are the only thing that reminds him of me. I didnt know what to think as he is in a relationship with his ex after all. His mother passed away recently and I text him to give my sympathy and he text me back saying thankyou as well as telling me how nice it is to hear from me, he called me too to talk about his upset of his mother dying however he had to go and said he will call me back but he didnt. I know that his ex manipulated the situation and she did her very best to get me out of the picture by making sure I found out that they were back together. I found this deeply upsetting as I wondered if he ever cared for me. When we were together he asked me if I wanted him to cut all ties with his ex as they have a lot of mutual friends but I said no as I trusted him. He constantly told me he loved me during the relationship and always talked about us getting married one day. I would like some advice on whether you think he still has feelings for me and if it looks like a rebound thats why he is with his ex? I am really confused and I dont know what to think.
