I am writing a novel its supposed to be a mystery/romance but i'm kind of stuck on it please help?
I’m calling it "Destiny’s Dance". I’m not sure how relevant it is though. Its about this woman Bronte Ronriquez. She moves to Sacramento so that she can teach at sacramento state. her sister who is always trying to set her up lives there and keeps trying to take her out and introduce her to people. But she is really interested in the next door neighbor. She doesn’t say anything because her sister and he seem to hit it off before she has a chance to take a second glance. Her sister is works as a stripper in a club named Magic City. She has a stalker that has been following her for a while. Because she makes good money she has twenty four hour watch on her apartment and he can never get close enough to even look in the window. Anyway he follows her to her sisters house one day and her sister isn’t home she is somewhere around obviously but not there. He comes in does the regular pic the lock blah blah and rapes and kills her. Her sister finds her the neighbor comforts her and what now?

Well, for starters, she & the neighbor guy work together to find the stalker/raper/killer. Neighbor guy could be a former cop and/or a private detective. Through the course of the investigation, sister & neighbor guy start falling for each other – slowly, like a hug after some discovery or a closeness feeling because of all the time they spend together.
there should be a twist where the neighbor was the rapest/stalker
hmm, i can’t write the story for you, but here’s a good site that has some good tips on writing. it’s by an author, so it should work pretty good. http://jimbutcher.livejournal.com/ is the site. but, if i were you, i’d either have some invisible demon come chasing after then & eat the sister’s face off, or i would have the killer start to stalk the sister & it’s the sister’s time for Retribution. have her end up killing the stalker when he comes after her. give details, such as when she starts taking self-defence classes, & give forshadowing that the stalker will go after the sister now. say they found some things missing from the appartment. um, go into why the security wasn’t able to stop it, maybe it was part of the security that raped & killed her. thats the direction i would head.
The sister can’t live there anymore .She moves away but promises to stay in touch(she really doesn’t). Years later they meet again by chance. They build a relationship.After she falls in love, she finds out that he is the murderer.
Maybe their could be a new romantic intrest in the form of an unhappily married homicide investigator, whom she finds irresistable. That could go in many directions. even to the point of being torn between the neighbor and the investigator. Or even finding out her sister had a whole other side to her after her death.
