Do emotions hold a man back?
I’m not saying that emotions are useless,but simply holding you from doing a certain action. I dint like to get personal, but i can tell you that i could do so much if i dint have any strong hold on my emotions.

no they open you up so you can do more and be more. sometimes though i agree with you. emotions can be a liability when a cool head better serves the purpose. as emotions can color things and make them less clear. there is a time for everything. there is a time to let your emotions flow and times when shutting them off is what you should do. it is just hard to know sometimes when those moments are. it is a wise person who has good timing in that way.
Being disingenuous holds you back from giving your gifts and that ends in less happiness. Opening up your emotions is part of being honest. Attack no one, though.
yes but at the same time emotions give you things you otherwise would not have had.
like fear might hold you back from skydiving, but if you did finally bring yourself to do it the excitement and feelings of achievement are what would actually make the experience awesome.
if you didn’t have fear and went sky diving you wouldn’t have the sense of achievement, you wouldn’t have the excitement before leaping out of the plane and without those it wouldn’t really be worth doing. the good emotions are what makes it worth overcoming the bad ones for.
Emotions are motivators. they can lead one to either right or wrong direction. An emotion is like a sports car; you can over speed, create havoc, and even kill somebody. on the other hand, you can use it to have a good time, if you stay on the road and drive at the ‘normal’ speed.
Emotions are gifts from God to guide us when words or actions are not enough

and the answer could be of course they do! thats why we havent all killed eachother off by now
but it could also be Of course they dont! Thats why so many people are murdered in crimes of passion
Sometimes.
Emotions motivate us to do things. Without them we wouldn’t do anything but they also get in the way of things. That’s why you need self-control.
