How long do drugs stay in your system for a tox screen? ex. Vicodin?
I have to do a tox screen but don’t know how long or if the amount I’m taking can be detected through one’s urine. I have a script but would like to get off them someday (2 back surgeries, so far) but would like to know how long or how quickly I should stop taking the amounts I’m taking, I go up and down w/them. Anyway let me know who knows. Also I’ve taken lorazapam once in a while but don’t know how long that stays in the system either Any one know? Thanks.

for something like vicodin, it should take about half a day (14 hours from the last dose given) for it to clear your system and for lorazepam, it will take about 26 hours (from the last dose given). This is of course for a person with a normal kidney and liver.
So I’d wait a MINIMUM of twice the hours I mention for it to be completely removed from the body (approximately 2 days for lorazepam and a day for vicodin) to be sure it wont show up on a tox screen…and yes, it will show up on a tox screen if present.
