i really like the piano, but don’t really know why two great things are mixed together like this.
if there was an instrumental version of this, i would probably like it much better. otherwise, the original is where it’s at!
I love this so much more than the original.
Except for the strings being very out of place sometimes (1:27)…what were they thinking? But yeah, other than that, this perfect
i love both versions
Both have their versions. This has some really beautiful parts in it, but so does the original.
Both are absolutely awesome. I had to get this one as a ringtune.
Both versions have their uses*, damn. What was I drinking?
AMAAAAAZZZING~!
Straight vodka.
“When there’s nothing left to burn, you have to set yourself on fire.” Damn, that’s deep.
Covers never aspire to be better than the originals. That’s a given.
the piano’s awesome, does anyone know from who it is or something ?
Final Fantasy 8 I think. Or 9.
Final Fantasy is the artist, not the game that the piano is sampled from. The piano came from Owen Pallett, the musician behind the remix of the original Stars song.
this is the only song on the remix album that I prefer to the original
this isnt a cover, its a remix. and its badass.
HA! Someone thought this was from the video game? Now how can a video game remix a song? Not to mention FF8 & FF9 came out in 1999-2000 and this song came out in 2007. Dwight Schrute was right, this world needs another plague.
I beg to differ.
I’ve heard some covers / remixes that blew the original out of the water.
It really depends on what kind of fan you were of the original.
Not saying your wrong , just saying the comment was a bit exclusive.
And I hope this doesn’t offend you.
That cracked me up.
It sounds kinda like something I would say.
@kickorguard
1) Agreed.
2) Dwight Schrute. Amen. All I can say.
Learning to play this on the piano is lovely, the remix is grand. Lovely lyrics combined with haunting and encanting music that for some reason hits me to the core. FAvorited and rated 5 stars. lol Stars is great.
oohhh i like…TT
i LOVE THIS SONG I AM OBSESSED.
the album is actually
‘set yourself on fire’
@thatonetallchick Nope. This album is different. It’s all remixes.
I always break out these random ballerina dance moves whenever I hear this song!
