Did the spell backfire?
my mom did a wiccan spell to get my stepdad to fall back in love with her. She hasn’t done any wiccan spells and this wasa her first one. and just a while ago my mom’s ex called and said he was going to call my step dad and tell him my mom was still cheating becuase my mom broke it off with him and told him not to call. Now my step dad won’t answer my mom’s calls. Did the come-back-to-me spell back fire??

Okay. I’m POSITIVE that spells are bogus, superstitious crap.
The exact same outcome would have occurred if your mother did NOTHING.
Did you notice–you asked a yes or no question and demanded positive answers only?
More than likely, the spell didn’t work.
More like a bunch of hooey that did not work at all.
i am not a fan of spells, i like people to exercise the free will.
if your step dad does come back and its not from his own spirit’s desire how log will the relationship last or what willl the quality of it be?
to answer your questions: its might be too soon to tell.
Love spells have a way of coming back in a bad way. Even if they start off first being exactly what you wanted.
If things are falling apart for those in your mom’s relationships, it may be what is needed to get the other person to come around and fulfill the spell. That would be the only ‘good’ news I could give.
Tread carefully here. Love spells to bring specific people can make those people obsessive, even a bit insane. They can get to the point where they have gone past annoying to dangerous, not only for themselves but also your family.
If its been over a few days up to a few weeks, and things are not looking like they worked, then I would thank the powers that are and cast a spell to find the right someone by making myself more attractive to them, not attract that specific someone… that in itself is forcing your will on someone else and goes against everything practitioners of the Craft adhere to.

Your stepdad has fallen out of love with your mom.
After she cast a spell, he continues to be out of love with your mom.
Sure, it could have backfired. There are repercussions to magic. But the more simple answer is that it just didn’t work, and she’s reaping the repercussions of having cheated on him (presuming that claim is true)
Life has consequences. That’s a central Wiccan ethic. You don’t get to just do whatever you want and not have anything happen to you.
Merry Meet, I do agree that it may be that the spell did not work, but i also agree that it could have backfired.
the wiccan law is “and it harm none, do what thou will.” It could have backfired because she directed the spell at her husband your step dad. The reason behind that is that she unintentiually harmed your step dad by messing with his free will “ie trying to make him fall back in love with her”. the reprocussions are three times three times three good or bane, praise or chide her fate alone, the gods decide.
