how to make my ex pay child support when he is not legal?
Ok, I have a child with my ex who is 1 years old. When I met him he told me he was here legally. He was working with a valid social security number and even had a birth certificate, so I had no reason to doubt him.(looking back I guess I was very naive) When I was 8 months pregnant with our daughter, he admitted to me he was here illegally and using a different identity to work. The only reason he admitted it to me was because he wanted his "real" name on the birth certificate of the baby not his fake one. He convinced me not to say anything because he would be deported then couldn’t be there for his daughter.Anyway we have broken up, I have filed for child support, because he wasn’t helping at all. He went in and signed all the paternity papers, but used his real name to sign them. But he is working under a different name and now is trying to make me feel cuz he says that they are going to take the money out of his check and the child support will go against the "real" man with the name he is using and the guy will report him when he find out he owes support for a kid that’s not his. I don’t know how to handle this, I want him to pay, but how can they take it out of his check when he is working under a different name?The child support officer said they will just take it out of his paycheck.
Yes we told the child support officer the situation. All she said was they will take it from his paycheck. He left the office very angry with me. He didnt think it was going to work like that.

Move to his country. You put yourself in this situation by trying to cheat the system. sorry about the mess you got yourself into.
Move to where he is. I work hard and don’t want any more leaches sucking the life out of the working guy. let his country take care of you.
did you tell the child support agency his real name and alias? it will take a while, but they will eventually get him. It sounds like he could also face charges for using a phony identity.
He is never going to pay.
Then have him pay you directly. If he can’t then guess what, his lie will unfold and he will be deported. I mean really, what about the guy whose identity he’s stolen?
you will never get child support…my ex was not legal i had 3 children with him i have been trying to get support for 13 years…i have a support order its just hard to enforce it because the work under fake names…..good luck

I would tell him that you will cancel the child support order through the courts if he will agree to pay you a certain amount each week. No excuses, no paying late, you want your money or you will have him deported. Simple as that. It is up to you what you want to do really but I think it is unfair that he ruin someone elses credit using their name by having back child support. I would just have him deported and get it over with, your child deserves a real father anyway, not some lying coward that is using someone elses identity. You can get in serious trouble for even knowing about this and not telling anyone.

Let it go and raise the child by yourself with no support. It doesn’t sound like he’s going to pay you either way.
I mean let’s say the may passed away tomorrow – you would still need to support that child…I’d write him off now and be done with it.
You should help him to get the green card when you both were in the relationship. Now, he could work with his real name, and could be easier to get child support. Now it is kind of messy. It will be more difficult to get it, but I think you will. Child support enforcement has resources to make non-custodial parents to pay, in one or another way.
