What are some signs your ex wants you back if she dumped you?
Only signs I’ve gotten are, she stares at me occasionally. Smiles when I stare at her. She told me I looked nice, and she noticed how I look.

these are obvious signs that she still likes you. what do you expect from her to do else ? to give an advertisement on newspaper ? go and talk to her and invite somewhere.
I’m not sure if "staring" at each other constitutes a sign you should get back together but it certainly might.

Sounds like the other guy didn’t like her or more likely thought she was a pathetic booty call and dumped her.
If you have to take her back, and be a sloppy second placer, slowly make her earn it… the hard way.
