my EX girlfriend wants to date me again but i don’t want to get in trouble by her dad, what do i do?
My EX-girlfriend is going against her dad’s decision of not letting her date and she keeps saying that she wants to date me but i don’t want to get in trouble with my parents and her parents, plus i don’t want to be single after a year long relationship that i had with her.

Dear Elgin,
Try talking to her dad.Tell him you are a good person who really cares for his daughter and will treat her with the upmost respect.Tell him you will respect his decision not to date her and ask him at what time would he be comfortable that you did see his daughter. Showing him respect for his decision and concern for his daughter just might earn some respect for yourself and change her dads feelings about you dating his daughter.

oh i hate it when dads and mom do this well i know where both r coming from but if u love her and she loves u then dont worry about what they will say and u might want to sit down and talk to them good luck
Big picture, if she is of legal age 18 or above, you are forgetting that, then she is a woman and can do whatever she wants. Just know that going against her family is not a good thing. Could you too just be best friends and get to know her dad. If he approves of you and he sounds old school, if you ask him, after a while then he would say its ok to date his daughter.
