Would you disobey your spouse?
I’ve always been a fairly "obedient wife" . If my husband didn’t like the idea of something, i did not do it. I have 3 tattoos. all acquired before my marriage 8 years ago. I have been begging my husband for years to let me get some more. I love the art. But he is still saying no. Should i just do it anyway ? What would you do? If you are a man, how would you feel if your wife went behind your back and got tattoos?

Being a wife does not mean that you have to be "obedient". A marriage is supposed to be a 50/50 type of commitment and arrangement. You are not supposed to bow down to him and "listen" to all of his demands, he also is supposed to meet you half way and listen to you.
I think it is time you sat him down and perhaps had a very mature and polite conversation with him and let him know that you don’t feel that you are being treated as a "fair partner" in the marriage. Express to him that marriage is a 50/50 partnership and that you expect to be treated as such. Do not go behind his back and get the tattoos but bring up the subject and tell him that you would wish to get at least one more. Let him talk and listen to all he has to say. Remind him if he totally disagrees that you are in charge of your body but that he must at least meet you half way as marriage is a partnership. Give him a bit of time to let the "new" you sink in and then ask him again. Good luck.

I’m not a puppy. I do not "obey" my significant other. If he wants someone to fetch his slippers he should get a Labrador.
tell him that it’s ur body and u can do what u want with it. it’s ur life. do what u want to do (within the law of course) and don’t let him tell u otherwise. if u want another tattoo u should get one and he should get over it!!!
if he is going to control you like that then why are you still with him. he is not your boss.you are a grown woman! you can do whatever you want. the hell with him!

No one can control you but you, it’s your body, do what you want with it!!
But, I really don’t recommend getting them, yess, it’s artistic, but it’s tacky and weird. Plus, I heard it can poision your body.
