In communal restrooms, why don't women leave the seat UP for men?
I always hear women gripe because some man left the seat UP.
Men raise the seat when they take a leak so they won’t dribble urine on the edge of the seat and hear some woman holler when she sits down to use the facility.
I don’t like having to touch a toilet seat that some woman just sat on and then handle my dyck.
If women demand bathroom courtesy from men why can’t they extend it themselves?

I just urinate all over seat if it is down.
If I were an old man- my kids, daughters nor wife would leave up the seat for me. Or my sisters or the lady that I just pulled out of a fire….thats what they do…nag, moan and whine…
Because between the two genders, the percentage of time that the toilet seat will need to be in the DOWN position is 75%. Assuming there are two main bodily functions being performed in the restroom, and men need to sit for one, and women for two, statistically it only makes sense.
Also, not wanting to handle the toilet seat after a women (or anyone else) sits on it is sheer paranoia. If you’ve touched the handle of the bathroom door, if you’ve ever eaten from a communal snack bowl at a bar, or if you’ve ever put you fingers into a bowling ball at a public alley, you are encountering the same substances and same bacteria as you would on any public toilet seat.
More to the point, everyone should put the seat and lid down before they flush, because flushing often splashes drops on to the seat and certainly liberates an aerosol of droplets that then float all around the room.
I am a woman, and I do not insist the seat be down EXCEPT at night because I do not like to turn the light on. I have fallen in so many times I just check it now first.
LOL.I am dying here.
Uh Oh,pandora’s box has just been opened.
Men should not stand up to pee in a toilet. You stand to pee at a urinal. A toilet is made for sitting, so sit down to pee.
All guys who pee standing up, splash on the rim and on the floor and on the back of the raised seat and lid. It reeks and is nasty to clean up after. So, sit, already.
That’s an interesting argument, but I agree with the person above who said that statistically it makes more sense for the seat to be down.
All restrooms should be separated according to "Women" and "Men" so women can sit safely on the seat and men could just leave the darn seat up all the time! lol
Communal restrooms are so outdated, anyway :s
Toilets don’t just have a seat.
They also have a lid.
Think of a toilet like any other appliance…dishwasher, dryer, oven, etc. You only open it to USE it and then you close it again. And that goes for both women and men. Everyone lifts and closes if it’s done properly.
The only reason public toilets don’t have a lid is because it’s just one more part that needs to be cleaned. But the principle is the same. Open to use, close when done.
1) The toilent has a seat and a lid for a reason. Women are not the ONLY ones who use the seat, as you do use it to go #2.
2) It is more sanitary to close the lid/seat.
Just use your foot to kick the seat up.
To women that fall into the bowl when the seat is up. A tip: don’t go backwards into the toilet and use your eyes. Don’t want to turn the light on? Take your chances then. 1.Hurt your poor little sleepy eyes with the light or 2. get a wet a$$. Like a lot of people have said put the lid down and everyone that uses it will have to put the lid up (equality of the sexes). It is important to note that if you have a toilet in your bathroom (not a separate one) a study was done and the people that didn’t put the lid down have droplets of fecal matter floating around and landing on their toothbrushes.
