Your friend here needs a little help and advice. Here is the situation ok, I have been dating my ex-girlfriend for the past 6 years. She is about to turn 21 years old in 2 months. Our relationship has always been solid. We get along so well and always make each other laugh constantly. Been though so many ups and downs regarding her family not wanting her to date and such but we fought through it. She moved in for the last 2 years for college. Our relationship has always been great when we were together. The only thing is that she wanted to party more and be more social and going to clubs and all. To me, I told her, all that really doesn’t matter because I have the love of my life next to me and that is all I needed to make me happy. I’m not a drinker or smoker. She wanted me to start drinking when we go hang out with friends or when they come over sometime, but I choose not to.

Last year at around this time when we were still living together, I found out that she cheated on me with a guy and she later found out that he has a kid already. I sort of force things to get her to come back and she did. It lasted two months with this guy and I got her to moved back in with me.

Everything was great, we started going out. Just last year alone, we went to Disneyland, SeaWorld, San Diego beach, Water rafting, Snowboarding, santa cruz beach boardwalk, etc.. She’s always happy when we’re together.

Then all of a sudden, on Tuesday night at around 11:30pm three weeks ago, I finished taking a shower and came to bed, she said while laying her head the other way, "have you notice that something has been bugging me for the past 3 months." I said, "no, what is it." long story short, she said she’s attracted to this guy that came to the salon to get a hair cut. While she was cutting his hair, he told her that he’s a Stanford MBA graduate, vice president of Well’s Fargo, said that he got 0,000 bonus from his job last year, he said he have traveled to Thailand, Bora Bora, etc. He said if your my girlfriend I would take you to all these places. He told her that she doesn’t have to work if she is his wife and he also drives the latest BMW edition. So she is fascinated about all these stuff. Then I help her moved all her stuff back to her mom place, She’s dating this guy right now as we speak. He’s 29 years old 6′2.

So I’m very depressed and starting hanging out with my friends more often, everybody was very shock that we broke up. I showed them a picture of who she’s dating and they said, "I know this guy, my wife knows this guy, they went to high school together, she know where he was rasied, he dated so many girls." One of my friend said at first they feel sorry for me, but after seeing this guy, they said they feel sorry for my ex-girlfriend, they said you shouldn’t compare yourself to this guy, your a much better person, he’s a con-artist, he dated about 10 girls already, he take girls from their boyfriend and dump them and the girl run back to their ex always.

So my question is, should I take my ex back if she ever ask me back. Right now I still love her and will always. She ask me, "you don’t hate me after I have done this to you." I told her that my love for her is unconditional and that I don’t see myself ever again loving another girl as much as I love her. I do love her very much. She also told me, that her boyfriend right now is very boring and that he doesn’t make her laugh like I do. She said she attracted to him for his looks and wealth. She told me that he’s going to buy her a ,000 car, asked her to engage, and said she’s going to get her passport because this guy is taking her to tahiti.

Have you guys been through the same situation and end up successful. I really do want to work things out with her and I don’t want my heartbroken again because it really hurt. What can I do to make it last? Anything will help, and thank you very much for taking the time to read my story.

I have an ex girlfriend that I love completely, someone took my phone and acted like me and broke us up, i didn’t know what to do or how to handle the situation so i kind of just let her walk away. After he broke us up she was the most hurt that I’ve ever seen her. She quit getting into relationships to look for love and began just looking for a friend, She just broke up with her only relationship that she’s had since me, she found out he was cheating on her, how do I tell her that its ok, and that she doesn’t have to be afraid to love, that I won’t hurt her again, she still loves me but she’s also still afraid of getting hurt. I guess I need a girls opinion for this one.

I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice… my situation is confusing, and i was hoping u could help me…

you see… my ex broke up with me cause her feelings faded… idk why or how but there gone, ive been trying to get her to come back to me, to regain those feelings. i think i had been acting slightly desperate, but not anymore. She wants to still be friends, and idk wat to do, cause i want to spend time with her, i dont want to be her friend and get stuck there, idk what to do to get out of that situation… and ontop of that, her reason for breaking up with me… im not sure if its true, ive heard other reasons… that she didnt like to be seen with me. but I don’t know if its true… she is kinda easily pushed to do things, cause she has a low self esteem and likes to please everyone more than herself, and shes always just trying to fit in, cause she has been teased all her life and made fun of and thats wat has caused her low self esteem… i really want her back, i know shes a great person… she just needs some confidence to help her out, idk wat i can do if either reason for her breaking up with me is true.

If she lost her feelings im not sure wat to do to change her mind and get them back

but if its that she didnt want to be seen around me i need to help her confidence so she can do things she wants to do, and isnt easily manipulated, cause i know she doesnt care about appearences, she doesnt think highly of her own appearence, even though she is so extremely beautiful… but appearances dont bother her and she doesnt judge it, so if that is the true reason its been put in her head that thats true by her friends. but i cant see her ever acting like that…

My and my ex where together for like 3 years when we got together she had a 3 year old son and is 8 now. By the time of the break up he was calling me his step dad, and the kid really loves me. Well i cheated on my ex and we broke up, crushed his heart that i wasnt there all the time, but i still saw him not as much as i should but i was there. Well now that i have more free time i can see him more. I pick him up once a week from school and take him back to my house and we do his home work, cook dinner, watch tv, play games and talk. Well i talk to him about her, and she even bought him his own spider man plate for when he comes over, well he asked to meet her. So yesterday she stayed home with me and was there with him. He had a great time, she even went and bought monolpy for us all to play since i dont have any board games for him… They talked and he really liked her, when me and him were jus in the store he pointed to a chcocalte heart and said "why dont you buy this for your girlfriend i think she should will like it"…. So i’m driving him home like cool they both had a great time he was so happy he was like next week i’m beating both of you in monolpoy.. Well when i tell his mom that she was there she got MAD. She said that i disrespected her, she said i should of told her first and let her decide.. Like decide what?? You know i’m a good father figure( better that his real dad but thats another story) but she is second guessing my descion. I know the only reason she does not want her around is cause i cheated with her. They also got into a fight 3 years ago, my ex showed up at me and my girlfriends place and started a fight with her… I jus want peace is she wrong for not waitning her around isn’t this childish??? He loves me i love him, he has a good positive time with me and thats whats important right?? Shouldnt we do whats best for the kid not what makes her boar float??? I’m 23, live in nyc w/ my G/F. My dad is 63, normal, he lives with my 30 yr old mentally retarded sister and my mom, 61, who has had dementure since June ‘03. She is in stage 6 of 7 (severe cognitive dementure). Next stage she will lose ability to move or even swallow.

She developed it from a thyroid problem which was rooted to a smoking habit. I noticed it VERY mildly at first, didn’t think anything of it. But when it took significance it literally happened OVERNIGHT. It is so cruel what God did to her. The home has never been the same since and I hate that she wasn’t there to see all I’ve been through the past 5 yrs. Its kinda like she’s already dead cuz it doesn’t matter what u tell her or what she sees, she won’t hear it or see it as my mom would.

Imagine God made someone u love unconscious for the rest of their life, in a limbo state, until they die INSTEAD of getting hurt or whatever and immediately dying. That’s what this is like and it pisses me off so much. It sucks I can’t tell her anything, she can’t know my future wife as a person, she can’t even meet my future kids.

She used to tell me she would watch over my kids while I go out with my girl on a special date. And I looked forward to that. I hate she has to go down like this, "slowly" dying. Picture getting shot and living w/ a bullet in u for 5 yrs, getting worse and worse. Its so wrong.

My dad can’t afford to put her in nursing home, not even for a few hrs a day, and there’s no room for a house aide. So I guess she will never know me again right? Or my wife or kids or when I make it in film business. Right?

Okay my previous story:
Okay so at the begginning of the year i joined a club and there was this guy he was funny and not very popular. he is east indian. anyway so he really started talking to me a lot and he even walked me to my locker one day (just waiting for me as a friend though). I started to like him but when i like someone i get shy. every day hed look at me in the morning and stuff we were never really close but i think he did like me. anyway eventually i didnt start talking to him or making my move because im too nervous and he stopped talking to me. he stopped starring and everything. now i see occasional glances and it was so weird. at the club the other day ever time it was my turn to speak/preform he walked to the back of the room and totally did something else. and i MEAN EVERY TIME and it was only to me. and if he couldnt walk away he would turn around and put his head down every time it was my turn to preform. isnt that odd?

So I’m not quite sure what transpired but I do know that your wife called my cell phone the other day cursing at me. She demanded I leave you alone and never contact you again. She said she made you take your account down off face book and made you erase my numbers off your phone.

I just want to let you know that I understand. I am unsure what your feelings are of this situation but since you complied with her demands, I can only assume how you feel. Again, I understand. Your marriage is much more important than any friendships you aquire.

I do request that you have your wife leave me alone. Her calling me with all that ghetto talk is not appropriate. I asked her to talk like the adult she is but she just kept on with the barbaric language. T told her that it sounded like a conversation she should be having with you, not me. I, of course, told her to leave me alone.

And just to leave you with a final thought: James, you are a beautiful person. You always have been. It was nice to speak with you again and to hear of everything you have done with your life. I hope you are happy or find happiness in your life. I need not speak of the possesive nature of your marriage, I’m sure you are dealing with it the way you know how. I just hope she learns to treat you like her partner in life and not like a possesion she can keep hidden from eveyone. You have so much greatness to share with people, I hope you do. I am always here if you need a friend. I have no hard feelings from what occured. She turned everthing around and made me out to be the bad guy whe she is the one who was intruding on our marriage my husband chose not to contact her back after this letter my question is what were her intention with my husband was she trying to get him back or what they were talking for a month and a half on his cell and I didnt even know until we had a 300 dollar cell phone bill hour long talk s and all when I wasnt around which scares me he keeps telling they were just getting caught up but does it really take that long and he did stop talking to her for me but I am having a hard time trusting him what should I think

THis morning I took my 4 year old rainbow lorrikeet called CHirpie out of her night cage to put her in her day cage. I usually cut her feathers but she is very tame and says Hello CHirpie. I saved CHirpie when shirpie was kicked out of her nest and the ants were crawling up her legs. Shw was wet and helpless. I raised her and then after I had her 12 months she nearly died again by putting her head in her toy and I just came through the door and saved her. I love Chirpie and Chirpie loved us. She flew with a colony all I wnat to know is will they accept her and not kill her. THere are some people who are very attached to their birds.
thanks DC i am so distraught i dont know what to do. i spoke with peninsula bird world on the mornington peninsula and they said they free fly their tame birds and they come back. i am so shocked i usualy trim some feathers but she use to hate it so i stopped 12 months ago she goes on holidays with us. this bird is tame and speaks and dances you guys dont understand she could be killed she does not know anything about being free.
I am in the Mornington Peninsula in Melbourne Australia and we have a lot of lorikeets here so yes she belongs in this area.

My girlfriend dumped me over a stupid mistake (it wasn’t cheating) plus she felt as though our relationship was getting to serious for high school. Ive been broken up with my ex for years, to the point when the last time we were officially together we were just kids. I threw out everything that had to do with him, all the pictures, all the notes, all the songs. Now I just feel crazy. I thought all that was the steps you needed to take to make someone go away, to not think about them anymore. It’s like some weird drug, I get this desire to call him up, to go see where he is or what he’s doing. If I ever do get a hold of him, I have this strange happiness for weeks on end.

Alright, so that much I could see someone saying, so go for it. But I have, and it just hasn’t worked out. Sometimes he tells me he feels the same way, sometimes he tells me he’s completely over it and I’m thinking about things long gone. It just sucks. I don’t know anyone in this kinda situation.
We broke up because basically I moved out of town for college. He wasn’t getting a job or doing much with his life. I kinda needed to focus and keep going and was getting brought down. But I mean were older now and he’s got a job and tells me he’s changed a lot,
So anyways here the deal. I tried to get him back, but the fact that I lived so far away was still a problem. He would talk to me for a day, then I’d go out of town and we’d never really get anywhere because either it left off on he loves me or he loves me not. Also, there was an episode about a year or so after the break up where he was doing something similar to me, trying to get me to come back and even break up with a current boyfriend.
It’s really been a mess. I’ve ruined a lot of his relationships and he’s ruined a lot of mine. This has been going on a really long time, and this whole time I’ve been wishing it would just go away. How the hell do you make these feelings go away?
Now, it’s a really big problem for me. After trying to get him back the last time and getting frustrated that it was going nowhere, I finally tried to just accept that it looked like I was alone on this and I needed to move on.
I’m dating this perfect guy who is the best thing ever for me. I’m pretty much always happy, progressive, and feel like I can work really well with the guy. My friends love him, my family loves him, and I love him. But for some really dumb reason I can’t figure out because of the internal WAR going on in my head, I feel the urge to call my ex. It’s probably about once a month at least. Sometimes more or less. But umm…thats KINDA a problem! How can I really, REALLY forget about this guy if nothing works? I tried talking to him about it and accepting it, and still felt the same, throwing all the stuff out, still felt the same, living in a different state, and "time healing" all didn’t work. What the hell? I need someone to exorcise him from my life. Is THAT a possibility?
What this really comes down to for me is logic vs emotion. Logic tells me that I have a damn good thing going, and I’m going to really screw it up and loose someone important to me if I even THINK about my stupid ex. Emotions tell me that I talk to this guy one day and I am glowing for the next two weeks. I get angry when I hear his name, when I hear about love and all that. I get angry and then I call him because I can’t stand it. I seriously blush a little if his shoulder touches mine. But you can’t trust emotions, emotions change. Logic doesn’t change. Somone who is always there for you, always supports you no matter what and WILL tell you how they feel about you is way more important than an old flame who burns away all happiness.
If I weren’t with my boyfriend, I would still be trying to get him back for sure. If I never met him however, I would be the happiest person in the world for sure. I wrote a list of pros and cons to both and it was literally equal. Btw, he has a girlfriend, and what he HAS said to me is basically almost exactly the same as what I’m saying. He loves her and can see marrying her, but he can’t watch love movies with her without getting angry or thinking its stupid.

I dated a girl for 11 years. We never married because she didn’t believe in marriage. I truly loved her completely and never doubted her love for me. My ex-girlfriend of 3 1/2 years won’t let me talk to her…what should I do?

We got together the summer before senior year of high school. The last year or so has been 5 hour drive long distance relationship. We didn’t ever fight about being apart and we never let that get between us until 4 weeks ago.

You see, normally she would come visit me because she has a car and I pretty much don’t. I would go down and visit her sometimes. I even went so far as to move down there for a few months. Unfortunately, I couldn’t stay cause of finances. Like 2 months ago I went down there and she, being in college and having a job, didn’t really have time for me.

I wasn’t too upset with that cause I understood she was just trying to get her stuff done and I just came down on a bad weekend. So 4 weeks ago her room mates brother was going down and wanted to know if I wanted to go with him (he lives like a half hour away from me). I wanted to, but she had been talking about how much work she had to do this weekend and was stressing out over it.

So I didn’t go down. Well it was going to be a surprise originally, so she didn’t know about it. The weekend came out and I told her what I had done, but said that I was coming down the next weekend if she didn’t have anything to do. She blew up like a bunker buster.

I was really caught off guard and didn’t know what to say. I kept apologizing, but she didn’t seem to care. She said that I should have come see her and broke up with me. Anyway, so jump to present time. I tried giving her space or whatever and we started doing really, really well like three weeks into this mess. We were still saying I love you and talking like we always had.

But then out of no where she decides we’re talking too much and thinks we should stop. I got mad because it made me feel even worse than I already did. Now she won’t talk to me at all really and when she does she just tells me that I really messed up and I should have thought about what I said before I said it (I really wasn’t mean about it). I don;t know what to do.

I can’t go down there anytime soon and she won’t let me talk to her. I sent a long, sweet email, but got no reply. What should I do to get her to at least talk to me again?

I’m 18 years old.
I really like my girlfriend, we have been together now for over three weeks. I asked her to be my girlfriend on our first date, which was on valentine’s day. Every day that goes by I keep wondering when the next time I’m going to be hanging out with her is exactly. I get excited whenever I’m going to be seeing her again. She loves picking on me and telling me that I fail haha. Me and her talk a lot and we like to take turns asking each other questions like when we talk online, as a sortof way to get to know each other more and more and because it’s fun and we use it to flirt sometimes. One question she asked me was if I was in love with her, I told her that I wasn’t there yet but I felt like I was falling for her at a steady pace. She said okay and I asked her how she felt about me, and she said that she doesn’t know if she’s falling for me, but she likes me and she likes kissing me. I told her that it might seem bad since I’d be a step ahead of her if I’m falling for her and she isn’t falling for me, and she said "or we can be at the same level =)", reminding me that she said that she doesn’t know if she’s falling for me yet but could be blindly.

How will I be able to tell if she’s falling in love with me? And how do I know for sure that I am?
