I never considered a musical career and would never go into one lightly. (Im more of a math guy, engineering). But every now and then when i lay in my bed but cant sleep, like just now, I’ll have what I call a "session". For up to forty minutes or so random styles of original music ranging from country, alternitive, to rap, even classical come waltzing into my head. It can be very fun playing with the diferent styles at no effort. It almost feels like magic or a gift. Some paterns I have noticed is that when i buy a new album or hear a new song that i like, but dont know by heart, my mind in its restfull state trys to fill in blanks. After that starts its on. Every few minutes a new riff or measure will prance in, continuing the session, and adding its own flare. Occasionally even entire lines of lyrics will be generated. Most of these songs or riffs come with its own unique vocals, usually male but I have had female vocals too. As far as musical backround I’m not fluent in any instrument but have tried many. My instructrrs almost always see promise in me but i quite before i get good. (I either got bored or was too busy or like in piano my favorite intrument I played my teacher died of cancer). But i once made a lady at my church cry because i sang a solo "so beutifuly". I know what good music is, and I write for my school paper reviewing new albums and local bands and receive much fan mail. I have 5000 songs on my iPod (its a start). Plus im realitively goodlooking being a lifeguard and all so record companies wont say im too old (It Happens). I realy wish i could put a jack into my brain and record it all but i never remember any of it for too long. If some of these riffs were placed into songs as choruses I would be a very rich man. Im still not considering a music career but i sincerly beleive if i could somehow record this stuff exactly and mix and match to make entire songs I’d make it. Has anyone ever heard of this? Am I crazy? Too hopeful? Do you for a second trust me that alot of this stuff is good, and I mean realy good? Should I act on this at all? I have some very musically talented friends but they cant come up with anything and i might be their cure.
