I have been footing the bills for him while he finished school. He wants to stay engaged for an undisclosed amount of time, and called off the wedding after everyone was notified and the deposits were all paid and non-refundable. I do not just want to wait until he is ready [it has been three years already], and think we should go our seperate ways. I would be willing to give him the ring back if he pays me back everything he owes me for back bills and part of the wedding deposits. Is this unreasonable?

My ex has been in prison for the past 6 years and is now out. Our nineteen year old finished school last month and has the opportunity to walk in May this year. We talk and hang out with my ex , his dad, but none of my family members My Mom, and so forth have seen him and I want to keep it that way. Don’t want him to start talking to them and so forth so what should I do? Invite him but tell him to watch elsewhere? Please help because I would love to see my son walk.
