He scratches his head as if he’s got fleas
His brain is ablaze with a rhyming disease
He lights his pipe full of magic herbs
Is that where he draws his inspiration from
A renaissance man in a hat with a feather
He owns 12 pairs of assless chaps made of leather
His poems make you work up quite a lather
His mind’s on an edge of black pit and it tethers
Is he a man, a god, or a sinner
Farts smell of beer and a mustache of reefer
He’s the original W M D
He licks his red pencil let the good times begin
A legend, a retahd, a scholar of words
The poems he writes are the best that I’ve hoid
A yoinking chameleon always dodges Y!Police
But to get back to the original point I was trying to make, I think indeed he has fleas.
Here kitty-kitty-kitty….

She does a bear scratch on her back against anything she can find.
She gets in a frenzy, starts moaning and getting excited because it feels so good, I guess.
We took her to the vet and he said there are no fleas.
I don’t know what a hot spot looks like but the base of her tail, where she likes to scratch, looks a little rubbed down but not too bad.
The Vet didn’t know why she was scratching so much. They ran the full gambit.

My 2year old male cat is allergic to fleas and recently had an infection. He is all treated and flea free now but just before I got to him he got a bite on the upper part of his back/lower neck which he obviously found very painfull/itchy because he scratched it so hard with his back paw it removed the fur around the area and left the skin all red and raw (but not broken).
The bite has gone down but he keeps worrying the sore area with his back paws and removing more fur. I suspect this is a combination of the fact that he’s got into the habit and he’s probably itching as the hair grows back.
I’m wary of taking him to the vets unless I need to since he’s not infected and the skin’s not broken and it doesn’t seem to cause him any pain – he lets me touch the area with no sign of pain. The sore is too low down for a collar to stop him getting to it. Does anyone have any ideas about how I can get him to stop?
