My boyfriend still wears a gold cross and necklace that his ex-girlfriend gave him for their first year anniversary, 3 years ago. Their relationship didn’t end too well and they both share a child. He has told me that besides his child, the chain and cross, are the only good things that came out of that relationship. The thing is… every time that I see him wearing that cross and chain, I can’t help to think that she gave it to him. I sometimes feel like giving him a new chain and cross would be best to replace it.
